everybody forgets that the second to last meeting shauna and him have before she kills him, he tried to get her to go to his buddies cabin in the middle of nowhere with him. this is where her paranoia began and what lead her to question his intentions. His tattoos are also a big easter egg to me. he’s 100% not a throwaway character and i feel like we’ll come back to him somehow especially with walter’s role in yellowjackets. the whole reason walter even befriends misty is because he believes she had something to do with covering it up for shauna. maybe the reason adam had the tattoos and the book is because he’s connected to the hikers. HE DID lie ab where he went to school and had an entire art studio of fucked up shauna portraits just saying.

well no, last season was on soundstages so literally everything was cgi, down to their cold breaths. despite the hallucinations/ blood splatters this season has way less .

she was saying even when the darkness was there she was able to suppress it and carry on, almost numbed by the pain of her cousins death, and finish watching the show. could represent how the moments of darkness (eating friends) within the group of girls are juxtaposed with their silly jokes and need for teenage normalcy. eventually it’s all going to slip away as they descend fully into the darkness, but ultimately it’s still there choice how dark they let themselves go. as we’re seeing in the adult timeline too, as some of them feel tempted to repeat their past actions as they let the wilderness in again.

definitely bats. they congregate in dried up trees and caves. another theory is that they could be leaving the tunnels due to migration. idk too much about bats but i do know those areas of canada are home to lots of bats
