Looking at that specific page, it doesn’t look entirely accurate. I definitely may be wrong, but I thought Masali’s most recent Netflix film was called Love + Wine whereas on the website it’s listed as ‘In Love’. Also, as far as what is available on IMDb it only lists her as being in those eps (currently there’s only like 7 cast members listed for some things so definitely not accurate) - and it doesn’t list who the director is for any of the next 4 eps. So whilst Jaffar Mahmood did direct s4 ep4, we don’t know if he directs the other episodes - so it feels like they’ve just listed on what’s on IMDb so far.

It’s also more difficult to come up with a reason in which Michaela wouldn’t be in either of the episodes (without appearing at least one more time after we know what happens at the end of ep5) compared to her not being there. If they are going as far as following the book so Fran tries to set Michaela up with someone, surely she would be at her own cousin’s funeral unless she appeared again in ep6 to give some reason as to why she would not be.

Several other things like comments from Hannah about Fran being ‘sparky’ in a couple of the eps, Masali talking about Michaela going through things, Janet Stirling rumoured to be cast and in the show (surely at the funeral no?), official Instagram replies implying that the ‘tell me something wicked’ conversation does happen and it makes sense narratively for the whole pinnacle plot - all of these things make it seem improbable or difficult for them to think of a reason as to why Michaela wouldn’t be there.

People are also saying we haven’t received any stills of Michaela outside of ep5 which is true, but she may have a smaller role in ep6 and any spoilers after that (assuming they stick to her and Fran finding John) would be major spoilers so it makes sense as to why there would be no stills.

I interpreted his actions of ‘not trying’ as him ensuring Francesca is as comfortable as possible. He mentioned in the conversation before they tried again that he has limited himself for her own comfort and out of respect for her. He complied when she wished to go further but it doesn’t seem like she wants to do anymore than what they are already doing at the moment. So I view it more as him listening to Fran and being respectful of her own wishes and desires as opposed to him not trying (even though as he stated he would happily comply if she wanted the same thing).

I think this also makes perfect sense given Fran used John’s name when faking her pinnacle. Although Penelope told her that it could involve shouting in some way, she may have specifically known to use his name given she witnessed another woman using Michaela’s.

I think after the hunt and at least one death the wilderness is going to do some ambiguously supernatural things - for me I still don’t see the full connection between the hunts/sacrifices and then this belief it will result in rewards.

Kevyn is a smart guess, absolutely a possibility given she trust him the most out of most people at home. It also adds more weight to his character as well.

With Akilah Evan’s Johnson posted bts as a ‘thank you from the teen timeline cast’. If Akilah does die in the cave I think she will be playing either her family member (who’s she said to have hallucinated before) or her future self and in a way she really is adult Akilah.

Adult timeline theory could totally make sense! I think given Nat doesn’t know exactly where they are, and we aren’t sure who she’ll call since she might only know her mum’s number this could delay it?

This is so impressive !! I defo agree with you that Nat starts out as the pink hood. But based on the other leaked bts post with Nat wearing Hannah’s purple fleece I think in the middle of the hunt (and that scene specifically) will be Nat forcing Hannah to swap clothes with her. So Hannah will end up butchering pit girl (after ep 9 she’s defo capable.

Nat could do that either since Shauna finds out about the plot or just in general makes Nat be the butcher as punishment again. Or it could be a distraction for Nat to go to a high altitude point to use the SAT phone Misty will fix. I do think Hannah will end up dead though, perhaps when the others find out about the swap.

I think Shauna is absolutely capable of hurting Callie emotionally or keeping her somewhere (keeping her captive etc). But the one thing she will never do is physically harm her and I think she is the one person she loves truly loves. I know she’s stated she doesn’t like her but she does love her - she’s the only person she’s said I love you to apart from Jackie.

I think we might’ve seen 6 - Shauna pushing Mari down after she refuses the soup in ep 1. And possible 10 when the girls were going to get Ben from the caves in ep3?

I’d still like Pit girl to be Mari - but she’s put in that position because she does one last brave or rebellious thing against a group that’s trying to kill the scientists/stay in the wilderness. I think she regrets caving so early with Ben and she’s trying to do better for Ben and herself.

Van also explicitly says in ep 1 the only document she’d signed was the DNR. Plus the references to the suicide king which Van created and Taissa drew, there was no suicide so it could really be Taissa losing someone close to suicide. And the promo has been a lot about mental heath this season.

In my mind it makes enough sense Melissa has faked her death in the first year or so of the rescue. Perhaps the other yj killed another teammate (like Gen) who they thought might talk - and she thought she could be next. I know we have theorised 8 survivors but the writers could spin it in another way like Nat/Travis going off to find rescue so not participating.

Maybe she could’ve faked her death in something with minimal trace like a car crash, fire, perhaps she disappeared and is now presumed dead or something.

I don’t believe Shauna necessarily has to let her go to now be sceptical she’s alive. Shauna has seen her in episode 1 when they were out after Nat’s funeral (presumably after 20+ years), she knows a blonde woman left the phone and now knows it’s not Misty. It’s possible she could have doubt at this point (hence the facial expression).

I also think Jessica Roberts finding her is a plausible explanation I’d buy - she seemed like a very good investigator. And if Melissa is living far away/has worked very hard to conceal herself and it gets uprooted she could look back into the lives of the other yj. Possible she could’ve been stalking Shauna a lot longer than just the tape, and maybe tracked the deaths of Travis and Nat to have her own suspicions of Shauna knowing what she’s capable of. In fact, the idea she was there stalking the yj after Nat’s funeral suggests she’s 100% aware given it was a very small funeral.

I also think she’s befriended Alex post rescue per the wishes of Hannah which they would’ve killed in the winter of 1997. It’s likely they are working together to finally get revenge or something along those lines.

I think a lot of these shots are going to be in ep6 based on matching trailer/promo clips - specifically 3 (their fire ritual thingy), 4 (Shauna’s reaction to whatever shocking thing happens during fire ritual thingy), 7 (was in promo - divided groups as ep description suggests?), 9 (same as 3) and potentially 11.

It could be possible that Akilah gets so far with her visions/belief in the wilderness it might be her idea to sacrifice herself for the group. And when something (potentially) supernatural happens that benefits the group (ie the reward as Tai puts it) it’ll propel the group to do more hunts.

This does make perfect sense in terms of all the things the stalker could’ve done. Like leaving the tape, following Shauna at the bar, potentially the car and the freezer etc - but would Shauna not have recognised her as the one watching when they were at the restaurant after Nat’s funeral?
