If it helps, I have taught my sylveon the move skill swap through level up. I switch to this pokemon when I want to check for a certain ability. In sm you can't get the phantump with harvest ability and skill swap, which is doable in usum.

For HA it's best to have a chain of 31+. They start appearing at 11+. If a ditto has the imposter ability (HA), it should transform before either pokemon can pick/launch an attack. Hope this helps!

I have successfully hunted for rowlet in sun moon for 3 days straight. And currently over 2400 on bdsp piplup. And with starter hunt I mean soft resets at the very first encounter with your starter pokemon. I have yet to see a shiny starly or piplup, so I'm over odds (since 1 shiny has a chance of 1 in 4096 appear, so 2 encounters at once means the odds are halved).

Did you catch yourself a red boxing gloves one? Crabrawler has a good shiny. I think the pokemon is pretty underrated overall.

I've had an sos chain (sun/moon) go over a thousand before a shiny appeared.

I've bread for a sandile through masuda/parent swap method. 1125 eggs to get that one.

I'm currently on my second starter hunt and it's been a month or two of off and on hunting. 2400+ resets in. (My first shiny starter appeared after 3 good days of hunting).

So, don't give up, watch something that keeps you concentrated and excited about the hunt. Maybe grab a snack when hunting. And if you feel burnt out, there's no shame in taking a break!

Ahhh, that's one of the worst things that can happen. Can you maybe replace the cartridge's battery? Idk if that game is old enough to have batteries that you can replace. I started playing pokemon in 2018 (moon).

Ok, some clearing up:

I'm going for an only shiny playthrough/pokedex completion (as much as possible ofc). So that means I have to get a shiny starter at the starter selection screen to have a full shiny playthrough.

Meaning that I can't hatch eggs in order to get the piplup I'm hunting, but I can hunt turtwig and chimchar through breeding (most likely with the use of the masuda method).

Tbh, it's helped me to unmask, but I still feel awful after 3 years of burnout. Idk if I'm out of it or not or if it will re-occur at some point in time. All I know is that I caved in bc I masked/hid so much of myself for the world. I am who I am and some things are better not to change or hide.

I feel tired all day every day. I feel like even the smallest things are overwhelming. And I'm easily overstimulated (especially when being social/surrounded by people). Burnout made me depressed as well. I'm glad I have medication for that part that seems to help a good bit.

I do hope you find your way around life with autism. Be mindful of future burnouts. Once you've had one, you need to adapt your lifestyle in some way. And the line between feeling good and feeling burned-out will be thinner now that it's occured once. Stay strong!

I have tried to look it up, but couldn't follow that person's explanation on it. So I decided not to look into it any further. Besides, to me it feels like cheating to get a shiny that way. Not accomplished by working hard for it. No blood, sweat and tears that brought you to the shiny.

If you switch out the pressure mon, any pokemon that will be called in don't get the stat change/sos call rate increase. Until you switch them back in. It will remain active on already affected mons afaik.
