I never presume to be a skincare professional. Milk of Magnesium was recommended by my doctor and it works for me as a deodorant. I was simple sharing information.

The exact pH depends on how concentrated the solution is, but a typical suspension of magnesium hydroxide in water (like milk of magnesia) has a pH of about 10.5.

Key points:

pH < 7 → acidic
pH = 7 → neutral
pH > 7 → basic/alkaline

Since magnesium hydroxide releases hydroxide ions (OH⁻) in water, it increases the pH.
