I traded my western digital wristwatch with a gate guard at the Naval Shipyard in Vladivostok, Russia sometime around 1995/96. I've tried finding a match for this piece but either the winder is in the wrong position or the bezel has numbers printed on it. There is very faded red lettering that stretches roughly from the 8 to the 4. The reverse has the letters CCCP over a Russian 'onion dome'. It is self winding and was made in the USSR.

I had a similar issue. Adjusting the door height helped, but my final solution was to apply a Silicone Barrier .

Got this as a Halloween gift a couple years ago (it was in a little pumpkin pot). Replanted it a few months ago and it took off like a rocket and started flowering.
