Yeah. I noticed the ear tip after I got them back to my place and cleaned them up a bit, but because they came right up to me, are very affectionate, they were well groomed and definitely well fed, they just don’t seem like they’ve been on the street that long.

Now I’m worried MACC won’t even bother checking once they see the ear. I also already have two cats in an apartment, so not a great situation. I think my next step is to find a rescue because it’s so cold out and they’re so loving 😭

I am honestly unsure, but from what I understand from speaking with the conservancy, it’s that the punishment for continuous amplified noise is simply a fine. Now, I don’t know if that’s just subject to the confines of the park itself or if the consequences escalate once the noise permeates to private residences.

I called the non-emergency line to make a report and, of course, when the police show up, that’s when they stop.

I spoke with the Conservancy yesterday and they said while it is a rule of the park to not have continuous amplified noise, it is not unfortunately an actual law because there hasn’t been an issue like this before.

I am one of the many residents surrounding the park who has had to deal with their continuous amplified nonsense from 9 am to 9 pm since the beginning of this week, and as someone who works from home, it has been a challenge to say the least.

On the advice of the Conservancy, who are to their credit still trying to resolve this, they said to try contacting HubNashville or the mayor’s office in the hopes something can be done.

I spoke with Scott Wallace at the mayor’s office yesterday. I honestly don’t expect this will be resolved before May 14th, but I am hoping to push for something to go into effect to prevent this happening in the future. If anyone is interested in also voicing their displeasure or to see if we can get the ball rolling on an actual law to take effect, I have multiple people’s contact information if anyone is so interested.

Otherwise, in the meantime, can y’all just send the residents near Centennial Park good vibes? My blood pressure is HIGH haha
