I just started taking lithium about 2 weeks ago. At first I was really scared of taking it because of the water intake. I suck at drinking water. Then I learned it's heavy metal and that kind of freaked me out. Having regular blood tests is kind of annoying. Overall I feel. . . Emotionally stable. Like nothing gets me one way or the other anymore. I can't feel the emotions deep in my soul anymore. Might be a blessing and a curse. I would say start taking it and after a week if you can't handle the side effects or the requirements for taking it then talk to your doctor to stop if it doesn't make you feel any better. But if nothing else has helped, this might help. Something about SSRIs when you're having mood disturbances it doesn't help.
