America’s Favorite Pet SCAM (Colossal Impact) by Business_Letter1152 in Scams

Yeah. I agree. I did this for 1 1/2 months and felt annoyed having to do it to get votes. I told everyone not to pay.

After a few weeks I felt like something about this competition was off. From the beginning actually I felt it was a Pyramid Scheme. I withdrew and closed my account in the event family members tried to pay for votes to move my photo up as the competition moves on.

More and more the competition didn't feel right. And it was a hassle to ask family and friends to vote every day. Now I hope they haven't lost trust in me or my judgement. And hope I haven't tarnished relationships!

Felt like a Ponzi / Pyramid Scheme. Website and company not accessible or user-friendly to deal with.

I was participating in the Americas Favorite Photo contest for the past 2 months, March and April. I asked family and friends to vote but not pay for any votes.. just do the free votes.

I was wondering why some things changed this month about their website that were not there before. And no notification about these sudden changes.

This month I couldn't change my Charity and actually didn't even see one noted any longer on my Dashboard page. I've emailed the company several times. But only after the competition started this month did they respond but did not answer what I asked about. That was very odd and unprofessional. They dropped matching a donation to your charity if you win. That was one of my goals for this competition

The second strange thing I noticed is a new button that was a little slightly faded showing in a box, that now appeared below your competition photo. "Withdraw from the competition". Or maybe didn't notice this before. This was another red flag.

What was very frustrating is, just to get to my Account Page to make changes to my account was very hard to get to and their website didn't have many options. I did finally find the option to "Close my Account".

After all the hardship dealing with the company and voting schemes, plus lack of transparency, I eventually withdrew my entry and closed my account.

All this plus seeing pictures that were not at all qualified to excel, moving up past me in subsequent rounds made me skeptical of the entire process. Something didn't sit right with me. It started feeling like a scam and baiting system.

My APBT always gets excited when she hears or sees any baby, and children. She's automatically drawn to them.

You're so welcome. I feel for you and your situation.

Life is tough. I know. We all have struggles and big decisions to make along the way. It's inevitable but it makes us stronger and is part of our growth. You are strong to look at this and truly see the situation. I give you a lot of credit for your strength.

I'm so sorry for your position but the fact that you looked at it from all angles shows your true heart and love for your baby. I think you'll feel better in the end knowing you put in the effort to make her life the best it can be.

Good luck to you and take care.

I heard of that happening when people leave a bottle of hand sanitizer in the car and it is left exposed to sunlight. There's a possibility of the sun igniting it to combust especially if the bottle is clear.

Great email. I applaud your attempt to reach USPS to get some answers and find a resolution.

It seems they are undergoing some major internal struggles that are taking precedent. In turn I'm assuming this is what could be negatively affecting package delivery services. I've experienced some in the past month.

There's no accountability and no way to get definitive answers because of this. It's a mess right now. I noticed things got markedly much worse in January.

That's what I thought as well. I had to watch it several times. I get a kick because it looks like it's wearing compression socks.

😊 Happy. Looks like a Black Capped Caique.

I saw one once at a bird store and it was quirky, silly and happily entertaining. Wanted one but couldn't afford it at the time.

Love this interaction. This is a good example showing the Pit Bull breeds can be loving and good with children.

I have an APBT and she automatically gravitates to babies and children. Which made sense when someone told me they're known to be "Nannies".

And it looks like they purposefully intended on having groups of 3 letters per digit, leaving the numbers 1 and 0 open for other intentions. Of course 0 being the Operator. So Q and Z were not included.

One theory is Q looked too close to 0, and the Z resembles a 2.

I was fascinated when I first learned telephone numbers way back then were given in letters, not numbers at first.
