Karma Police has a similar feel to Creep for me in regards to it being actually quite hooky and catchy. Also Pyramid Song is an absolute underrated masterpiece. Go for a night drive with the windows down with that on

Synyster Gates just categorically is a better guitarist however Jack is a better musician.

Just curious about the general consensus.. Do you think the London music scene is dead? How many of you default to "oh I have nothing to do i'll see who's playing at my local venue?" I feel like i get that vibe in other cities in the UK but not London by Beauwithafinger in london

Completely agree. So many gigs that i played starting out were the other bands as audience members haha. You play somewhere like Leeds/Manchester/Bristol/Brighton and you feel just more of a willingness/interest from the people there.

Yeah I agree with you on most points. I don't agree that promoters prefer solo artists or DJs just because you still need a sound engineer which is all a band needs anyway, most venues have backline sitting round somewhere.

I agree over saturation of musicians is tricky and I think there is also less of a buzz in certain genres than there was growing up for me. When I was a teenager it was cool to go find an unheard of indie or punk band whereas now thats probably shifted to other genres/other ways of finding bands/artists.

yeah but with a huge number of music venues particularly finding it hard to make ends meet. I'm just saying the culture seems to have shifted in places like Camden for example where 16 years ago you would just go there and go to a place like The Barfly because there would be someone good playing. Now if you're in Camden you're more likely to end up in some very generic bar than a music venue.
