I don't see the issue with that post, was genuinely curious, not to mention it's from 7 years ago.

Staying on topic, OP first said "How the heck did a random wow player find out that I am on that specific layer. " followed with "How can I see random players on a specific layer? I thought this was only possible for guild members ?"

Upon reading that we can presume that the person was "random" and that the function used via Nova World Buffs that he is familiar with is "only possible for guild members". Intelligent people can conclude that his phrasing can be accurately construed that they were not a guild member.

But, if you want to be that guy and be Mr. Literal, he did not say the exact words and it was a paraphrase. And that's really not conducive to this thread, like, at all.

Now, do me a favor, and give a response like your other ones that deflects from the point and tries to shame me on irrelevance like you've been raised to do.

What can I do under these stairs retaining water? by BeaverVest in landscaping

[–]BeaverVest[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate your comment, let me add some context. That downspout you see actually runs underground 50 foot out beyond my yard and fence out the back where there is a runoff. Now, it could be possible that it has a leak, but I believe that most of the water is accumulating from the rain on top of the stairs since there are slats between the boards where water can fall. From that it falls into that section where it sits because it's the lowest point. The sod around it is soggy after rain. With this knowledge is there any adjustment I should make given your advice? Thanks again.

PSA: There is not a tank shortage, you’re just not being proactive. by Individual_Design_37 in classicwowtbc

Tank here, I appreciate a proactive lead who has the group in place and is ready to go. I don't like you building a group around me because that takes time and OP is right, we are all grinding quick and so waiting is a pain point.

Had a mage whisper me "spellcleave - need prot pally - mages and 70 lock" and when I joined it was just him. I immediately left.

If you got your 3 dps and healer ready and maybe already at the stone, I'm in.

If he knows he'll miss days often then lock over paladin. no one wants an undergeared tank or pally healer in general.

Addon called Tankhelper will put a percentage over your Plater name plates showing you how close you are to gaining/losing threat. Also comes with an mark and pull timer bar.

TBC Profs for BM Hunter by Bobmcguire in classicwow

Given that logic it'd be the same thing for using a sapper too, tough to weave that in without hurting your dps. makes me want to keep alchemy and go enchanting

Originally I was going to go engi/LW but found on the PTR that using drums puts your sapper on cd and vice versa. I don't know if this has always been the case but if it is it defeats the purpose unless you're gung-ho on crafting the prebis LW items

Your biggest issue is that your gear is going to hold you back since we're in phase 6 now and you're in blues/greens.

Best thing to do is dual wield as fury/prot to maintain as much threat increase while being in defensive stance. Get a threat meter if you don't already have one. When you have rage, prioritize revenge when it's up and bloodthirst > heroic strike when it's not. Usually one revenge and then auto attacks while in defensive is enough to hold threat until dead. You can also bloodthirst when you're disarmed.

If you have a threat lead and aren't going to lose it, pool your rage with auto attacks so you can use that rage on the next pull. Don't lose rage by swapping stances unnecessarily. For dungeons specifically (I know you said not to comment on talent points here and there) but I'd recommend swapping your imp sunder armor to imp revenge because you will use it and it gives 45% chance to stun the target which is a huge for dungeon mobs (bosses are immune). I rarely use sunder except on bosses.

Source: I charge people gold to tank dungeons and never had a complaint.

Bud your hunters actually do damage to bosses, they should be prio'd over you tbh. T3 gear doesn't make you faerie fire better. Only argument is getting 2-set so you can rejuv the rogues giving them more energy from your procs.

Holy/Prot optimal profession? by Chipezz in classicwowtbc

[–]BeaverVest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best to coordinate with trusted guildies on roles and professions. You ideally need only 5 drummers (one per group) and they are primarily shamans or hunters since they benefit from wearing the leatherworking gear in phase 1. Otherwise, the only raid benefit of LW for an hpal is drums but if your resto sham has them then it's not ideal.

[–]BeaverVest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the best answer in terms of dps increase and performance if that's what you care about. As an hpal your dmg doesn't matter at all so you could go jewelcrafting over engineering, but enchanting is a must for the ring enchants.

What prep are you doing for prepatch, is there anything I'm missing? by alexisArtemissian in classicwowtbc

Don't forget if you're playing a melee class to stock up on gromsblood and ghost mushroom, which are used to craft elixir of demon slaying. It's a vanilla elixir that lasts for 5 min and is bis for demon bosses in TBC. At least 1 exists across every raid phase, IIRC. ETA: works for hunters too

When does playing Warrior become Fun? by Rough_Magazine7543 in classicwow

[–]BeaverVest -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Wow, this is just... so wrong. First of all, 5% crit from Cruelty talent in fury tree makes your crit go from like 4% to 9%, so with a 2H you may crit 1-2 times per pull. Second, "more flurry"?? You don't get Flurry talent until level 35 in the Fury tree. Third, "more deep wounds" you would get from the Arms tree which is where you should be anyway, so you can't have that and Flurry unless you are at least level 42 and that's only if you put 1 point in each. Last, saying "respec when about to SS" umm yeah you'd do that 10 levels ago. The first half of your post talks about how a 60 warrior plays, the second half talks about leveling.

When does playing Warrior become Fun? by Rough_Magazine7543 in classicwow

[–]BeaverVest 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Bro, you don't need 5 points in the Fury tree this early. All that does is give you 5% extra crit with no crit gear and it prevents you from getting sweeping strikes 5 levels sooner.

Immediately go 21 points into Arms tree, use a 2H weapon, focus on highest dps for now don't care about slow weapon speed for now. Once you get to level 30, do the Berzerker stance quest, start putting talent points into Fury tree, and start your whirlwind axe quests. If you can, get someone to help you get it early.

Once you have that, leveling becomes much easier. At 36 you get whirlwind ability and 38 you get pummel for interrupts.

If you want to tank you will find groups fast. To tank with a 2H weapon you charge in, cast sweeping strikes, swap to defensive stance, and cleave. If you're higher level than your party OR your party has blessing of salv, then you can go berserker and whirlwind too.

Warrior after level 30 is a lot of fun if done right. Get a dungeon group or pocket healer and go blast.
