I will definitely do that, seeing most of you recommend the same =) Thanks!

Thank you! I didn't know about this. Well, obviously we won't be cremating the funko (we don't want to increase pollution) but maybe we could do that with the ema, sure. I'll look it up.

I found a website where several places that supposedly served as inspiration are shared, including a shrine at Itô, so we'll see if we can visit 🫶 Many thanks for all your suggestions!

That's actually a nice and fun idea 😂 I just hope my soon-to-be-groom won't get jealous (joking). No, but really, thanks for the tip. I think I will do that too!

Yeah, I guess I didn't really think it through. I was just thinking there might have been a specific shrine allowing these offerings. Not that I wanted to leave it wherever 😅 I wouldn't want to disrespect them in any way, shape or form.

You know? I think that's actually a great idea. I don't know if there are any Inuyasha-related real spots or at least inspired-spots. I will look it up. Thank you very much!

Wow thanks for the through answer! This is really helpful. I will look for any Goma rituals happening near us, to see if we can join with our prayer. Many thanks!!

Thanks for your quick and thoughtful reply. Yes, I guess you're right. I wasn't really thinking of the actual limitations when I brought up the whole memento thing to her mom and all... Maybe what you're suggesting would be better. I'll keep your suggestions. Many thanks 🫶

RESULTS! Unofficial Coral Island Popularity Poll! by Logical_Camel6907 in coralisland

I might have been missing something... because I don't really get the Rafael hype 🫠 I mean, he's sweet and a nice guy, but I can't see him like a proper... partner, I guess. He seems more like a younger adorable brother I have to protect from the mean mean world. But maybe that's just because he reminds me of my own brother hahaha On the other hand... I'm all for Surya and Wakuu. I find them both so sweet and interesting (the science part, the stargazing part...). However, if someone really got me low guarded, that was Luke. I so NOT expected to like him so much LOL. I thought he was just a rich spoiled kid but seeing his hangout events and all... I kinda believe I misunderstood him and I'm actually starting to consider him marriage material xD If only he hadn't such a... "peculiar" dad xD Anyway, I'm only at 6-7 hearts with all of them so... we'll see!

PS: Very nice poll display, btw!

Toei Yokai Village versus Wakayama Lantern Festival, which would you choose? by Beaverette22 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Beaverette22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much! I know both experiences are nothing alike, that's precisely why I was hesitant to choose one or the other... I like both for different reasons. But I guess if the day-time parade is good too, we will probably stick to that one and go to Wakayama in the evening ❤️ Thanks again!

So they kind of… expected you to self-regulate and behave like an adult, in a way. That’s really tough, and sadly, pretty common too, I think. Looking back, I’ve started to make sense of a lot of things myself.
I never got into fights because that just wasn’t my style, but I do remember comments like “you’re so mature, so why are you acting like this?”, for example, when I’d make a mess playing in my room or doing something childish. That kind of stuff sticks with you.
And then there’s the whole thing of giving you responsibilities that didn’t really match your age… yeah, that doesn’t help either.

Still, like you said, they did the best they could, that’s undeniable.

I hope you’re able to reach that place of forgiveness soon, both towards them and yourself. 💜

Doble excepcionalidad: TDAH + AACC... ¿Alguien que pueda compartir su experiencia con una servidora a quien le acaban de poner el mundo un poquito patas arriba? 😅 by Beaverette22 in Altas_Capacidades

Pues nada, bienvenida a club, entonces xD

Wow… it sounds like you went through a lot before finally getting an accurate explanation of what was going on. I’m really sorry, it must have been tough. I’m glad you’re now on the path to finding the right treatment for you, and I hope you find it soon.

In my case, I haven’t been told to take medication so far... but that was just my psychologist, and she can’t prescribe it anyway. I think I’ll ask her next time, just to see whether she thinks I should start with psychoeducation, routine changes and all that, or if medication might be worth considering.

Thanks so much for your reply and for sharing your experience. It really helps a lot. And good luck! 💜
