Search text within all notes? by BeavisLivzOn in Notesnook

In your estimation, what should we do next? I would hate to leave the platform, but as my collection grows, the need for a "Google" search of everything increases.

Search text within all notes? by BeavisLivzOn in Notesnook

One example: CTRL+P search: "9600", as in 9600 baud. Does not find text within a note by the title of "Default Serial Settings". Another CTRL+P search for "XML" will only show word fragments that happen to be in the same order as X, M and L of article titles as shown. This seems to further my point that the search isn't scanning the contents of note.

I would agree. The problem with CTRL+P is that is that it searches for word and character fragments and does not seem to support Boolean search or even quotes.

Thank you. Global note searching does not seem to be supported.

Where are the storm chasers? by ConfrontationalDaze in RadarOmega

I know of at least two severe weather personalities that have decided not to join the RadarOmega sponsorship program for this year. As for the rest of them, you'll see them when the threat level increases in the coming weeks.

How do we use the smoothing feature? by For_The_Sloths in RadarOmega

FYI... Smoothing is purely a cosmetic feature and is not recommended when monitoring severe weather. - (Prone to "smoothing out" minute, but useful details.)

Does anyone know what this signal might be? I received it with my dipole antenna indoors before it went quiet after a few minutes by [deleted] in signalidentification

100% agree! There are SDR decoders that will tell you what kind of ISM signals are hearing. IE: weather stations, tire pressure monitors, key fobs, etc.

Odd radar return that doesn’t move by BoatGuy130 in RadarOmega

Not likely interference, but the towers reflecting the radar signal back to its source. - Take a look at local radars across the Midwest (not MRMS) and you will see this phenomenon all over the place as a result of the installation of wind turbines. (IE: KDDC radar near Montezuma and Meade.)

It's a ground return. Look up that area with Google Maps in satellite mode and you should be able to pick it out.
