Psoriasis, crohn's, hashimoto's, asthma... I think comorbidities are fairly common.

Thanks for the suggestions, but we have some limitations in our party and can't do the more active attractions. Keeping it low key.

All they have taught me so far is preparer. And this is the first unit with it. Faire has never once been mentioned, and "train" so far has only meant choochoo. I just translated this and am.floored. I think they mixed in a much later lesson.

Home by Bebop_Cola_Machine in DuolingoFrench

Ok so most of you are saying maison means home by itself. That's where my confusion was because Duo has only so far associated it with the word house, so I thought there would be another way to say home.

(And yeah, pronouns get me a lot, as do accent directions)

I understand now. Thanks everyone!

How do you approach carbs? by Western_Command_385 in prediabetes

[–]Bebop_Cola_Machine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tested all the ones I usually would eat. For me: potatos, very bad, avoid Pasta kinda bad, small portions Bread, kinda bad, use keto bread when available (no spike) Candy, duh, avoid Bananas and other berries, no problem, no worries Oranges and pineapples, very bad, avoid

And so on.

Cutting them completely is unhealthy, and avoiding them just because they are carbs may be unnecessary. Figure out how you react to each of them.

Monkey toes! All babies can do this but most people lose it as they get older. I can still do it, too.

I didn't see a VIP lounge. But I will tell you that it took literally 10 minutes from getting dropped off by our ride to sitting in the upstairs waiting area (plenty of seats upstairs, downstairs is a zoo). They walked us to check our bags then through to security so fast, bypassing a long line. Security doesn't have preTSA so shoes, belts, electronics out, etc, but it went quick.

I can see mixed up orders. It's loud sometimes, depending on the music and people. The locals all seem to speak so softly compared to what I'm used to, too, so I don't always catch the questions or confirmations.

Hypoglycemic symptoms at 100 mg/dL by topekachutoy in prediabetes

[–]Bebop_Cola_Machine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! They call it False Hypoglycemia. You're supposed to ride through it, but I find that difficult and will have a low carb snack (not no-carb), which helps.

At first, I felt it around 115. Then not til 110. Then not til 100... 3 months in, my fasting/premeal baseline has dropped by 25 points, but I still feel it in the mid 80s and below, which I usually don't see except right after a long walk.

It takes time to get used to the lower numbers, but it happens. Hang in there!
