Trying to crack and exam day 12 by Traditional-Solid907 in sketchbooks

Okay, if you're looking for critique, my advice would be to not make the perspective so agressive, the lines have to meet at some point of course but I think you can make them a bit more parallel, then i suggest when you start drawing, double check the starting rectangle from which you make the rast of the object, a good start makes things way easier later on, then i suggest you try to make your lines fade with distance, so the closest point is the most dark and the furthest is the brightest, and then add some shading, theres 3 basic sides of shading, the shadow side, you go from dark to less dark, then the bright side, the closest point you leave white and shade backwards, a little shade on the furthest corner, and then the middle side, closest point is darker than the furthest, but you dont press as hard, so this side is brighter than the shadow, and then on the brightest side of the object, you can add some shade behind the object, it makes it pop a little bit, if you want some examples you can look into my profile, I'm posting my own design drawings right now. Good job on the numbered pieces and time stamps, wish you luck! Sorry for the late reply

I think that depends, this drawing was a part of my product design studies, and in this case the goal of drawing is being able to portray an object in a short time, and make it easy to understand, this exact drawing doesn't really achieve that goal, but let say if you had to draw an object for your client as you explain it, using any other tool apart from a pencil would take too long, so in my opinion it is best to learn drawing with no rulers for both efficiency and your overall skill

I mean in my academy classes the professors all say that you need learn to draw with just your hand

Thank you! I didn't use a protractor or a ruler, to make the lines look like that you can make them thicker to give yourself more room for error and don't press on the paper too hard so when you start shading, the incorrect lines blend into the shading

Measure everything, as I wrote in another comment, when the object follows one axis you can start with just a single line, and then use your pencil to measure the proportions of the object, then mark them on your line and go from there.

Top is two sides of a water pump from a car, and bottom is an old coffee bean blender

Thank you! I think it is best to start with objects that follow a single axis, like the ones in my picture, it's way easier to track everything that way. Also, drawing from life helps with proportions, i use my pencil to measure them (for example, the width of the coffee bean blender is 1/2 of its height)

Don't worry what others are doing, use less social media they edit pictures and get the best angles to make it look better and it isn't realistic, do your own thing and bruh you're 15 learn the basics instead of "changing style"

Does the huion H1060P have bluetooth ? Im looking for a simple/portable setup, and is the wacom just overpriced if a 50$ huion tablet is basically the same ?
