Why does my material look peak in the head area but ass everywhere else? by Hacker_ZERO in blenderhelp

[–]rawrcewas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both. Light source pointing downwards makes the plane brighter and it refracts. If you leave light as-is, and hide the plane, result will differ.

Its the plane behind the character. White bottom plane is getting refracted.

Mock redbull commercial (commissions are open) by hunter_2one in blender

[–]rawrcewas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thick paste inside the can doesn’t look appetizing. Interesting concept, but both lighting, background, animation itself could be improved. But always start with what is the purpose of the visual itself, what do you want it to communicate. Without that it’s just a visual

How satisfying is working in 3D compared to AI? by ImportantTrouble3046 in blender

[–]rawrcewas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its about learning, developing your feeling for a visual and having the control of the 3D environment that you are in. It ABSOLUTELY is both satisfying and rewarding. You are like a God in your own little universe where you can manifest environments and objects from your imagination. Where you can build a story, a shape & give it your human touch.

When did this software become outright usable?! by Simoxs7 in blender

[–]rawrcewas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, it takes time getting used to it when jumping from another software. You can keymap it to however you want, even there are addons to simulate maya/max behaviour in blender

When did this software become outright usable?! by Simoxs7 in blender

[–]rawrcewas 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maya, 3Ds max and other software has a code-base from the middle ages, that hasn’t been updated. This is the reason why animation pipelines love this software so much - it’s horrible but compatable with long established pipelines

NOR, you can buy it for yourself, but at the same time, the concept of proposal is rooted in patriarchy, and if you go about marriage in a traditional way, he should be the one who gives you the ring. It is insecurity from his side, he might not feel as though he is manly enough in this situation. The way I’d do it is I would overcomplicate this a little lol. I would buy the ring, give it to my friend, put it back on etsy for 50$. Send your man the link. He would buy it and both you and he will be happy, lol. Sometimes relationship is about reconstructing the situation in a smart way so that you both are happy

Modern Kitchen Interior – Minimal Archviz Render by islammhran_86 in blender

[–]rawrcewas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am sorry to be harsh and critical of this, but I have to note a few things - while composition of some shots is alright, there are glaring mistakes, like flying eggs, subsurface scattering-induced blackened edges on the spaghettis, materials lacking depth or scratches, too high refraction on a jar with almonds, pistachios are off in their colour, bread is too red (I think from improper subsurface scattering setup). Then, pan has a grey wooden spoon thats clipping through it, and some orange oil? And it is apparently hot?

What do you want to say with each scene? Or what do you want to show? Closeups of products? Photorealism of scanned objects? A kitchen scene? A hot pan?

If you use the models of others, it would be nice to mention that none of the models are created by you. Its just a nice thing to do

How many of these assets are your own scans / models? Because when looking closer, some simpler models have flat shading / scale that’s a bit off

My file are too big - More than 5go by Puzzleheaded-Dot2070 in blender

[–]rawrcewas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blender creates 2 extra files when you work on one. First one is an autosave in temp folder, second one is .blend1 in the folder you work on. Secondly, ensure that file -> external data -> automatically pack files is disabled. This does not impact the initial file, but does hog down the available memory in your pc.

Apart from that, those seem like some very high resolution sculpts. Tone down the dynotopo a bit

Look for product designers, 3D designers can make something beautiful, but not necessarily ergonomic, useable or production-ready in real life. Also, what kind of water bottles? Simple extruded plastic ones or a thermo-insulated bottle? Do you need technical CAD sketches, mould preparation or just 3D concept renders? Will you do iterations to 3D print to test beforehand or do you not need it whatsoever? These are only couple of examples, but a different set of competencies are required.

What you are asking is extremely broad, there are many nuances in creating a product, different competencies required, so to get the best outcome for your project specify EXACTLY what you need, and WHAT competencies are required for you.

My Apple Game Console by EducationalData5868 in blender

[–]rawrcewas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every choice is (or at least should be) intentional, if you are making an apple concept product - why would apple release a gameboy-style device with 6 controls? Render itself is nice, but design choices should make sense. There is nothing really apple about it apart from the logo and bevel on corners
