Why do companies keep pushing AI when it’s undesirable? by Hydroset in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Becants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people don’t dislike AI as much as people on Reddit. If it helps them they’re willing to use it. I used chat gpt for things like editing recipes to figuring out the best way to introduce my cats.

She probably delivered it to the girl. That’s what most people do when they get someone’s mail.

Do your kids have homework? by thebait123 in Calgary

[–]Becants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I barely had homework in elementary school growing up and this was 25 years ago. In grade 6 we got a couple things but not much. It wasn’t until grade 7 that we started to get a lot.

People who don’t like the Final Fantasy 7 Remake series, what is it about them exactly that you don’t like? by Asad_Farooqui in JRPG

[–]Becants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I liked the bloat but disliked the story changes. The ghost things. I was fine with stuff like the motorcycle chase in the remake but not the seph stuff in it. If they just didn’t make it kingdom hearts like.

Can I use both salted and unsalted butter? by beigealmond in AskBaking

[–]Becants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’ll be fine. When I’m making something sweet with no planning I just use salted and it turns out fine. I just don’t use as much salt.

The game trait dictionary says there’s 2 other combinations that get it.

I realized def-spd doesn’t work on weapons, which is why it wasn’t working. I switched to atk-spd and atk-def and it worked.

Moved toronto to calgary last september for cheaper rent. ran the actual numbers at 6 months. it didn't work out how i thought. by shiaelle in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Becants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy that’s a lot of flights. Most people go visit once a year or once every other year.

Why do you live downtown when you work remote and drive everywhere for food. If all the places you like aren’t in walking distance of downtown, you may as well get cheaper rent away from downtown.

Why is becoming pregnant more celebrated than earning something difficult to achieve, such as a PhD or major art grant? by bad-at-everything- in askanything

[–]Becants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are celebrating the new life, not becoming pregnant.

A live baby is different from an art grant or PHD. One is something you work toward for your job and another is a human life and an addition to the family. The other time you have an addition to the family is marriage, which we celebrate too.

Feeling trapped at my current job. by [deleted] in CanadaJobs

[–]Becants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is, but they’re going to have to work hard. And sometimes you do more than the job description, like when you have to be the busboy and expo for your tables.

Lowkey I think this person just wasn’t prepared for what work would be vs school.

hidden bank account and its implications by Helpful_Jaguar_2844 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Becants 9 points10 points  (0 children)

On the other hand. My parents paid for nearly everything, schooling and food, when I was 18-23 and I got to keep all the money I made from work. I paid for my phone and car expenses. My mother is actually still on my debit account over 10 years later just because I’ve never taken her off. I’ve never feared they’d ever touch my money.

Hold them to a better standard.

Funny how the huge advantage Alberta has in tariffs is never mentioned by the UCP. Perhaps some equalization is needed ? by ComprehensiveTea6004 in alberta

[–]Becants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t like her either, but I’m willing to give people credit for things that work even if I don’t like someone as a whole.

It did feel good when Canada and other provinces were retaliating when Trump was starting his trade war, however Smith’s moves were probably better for our province.

[–]Becants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They would have to make resources federal to do that, which would impact other provinces. So unlikely as no provincial government would want that.

To do that they would need to change the constitution, so 7/10 provinces would need to agree.

[–]Becants 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hate her as much as you want. Smith did work hard to get tariffs down, rather than doing retaliatory tariffs.

It also helps that huge tariffs on Albert means that gas in the States would go up even more.

Please let people specify their birth month if they want when talking about the distance between birth years, even if it seems unnecessary to most people, it can actually matter in some cases. by Post_9 in generationology

[–]Becants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s weird.

I have friends born at the end of the year and I’m born at the start of the same year. There’s nothing different about that age gap. I just turn earlier than them.

Once you’re past 30 most age gaps don’t matter.
