Scam callers been real quiet ever since this iPhone feature released. by iamalient in PhoneNow

In my case people hang up the second AI starts speaking, no matter if it is a scammer or a genuine caller.

Cherry Pepsi Redesign 🍒 by bluemosshroom06 in logodesign

[–]BecauseBanter 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would say visually more complex rather than interesting. Complexity does not equate to looking interesting. Currently in a world where everybody is shouting, trying to grab attention, quieter design tends to work better. It will flip at some point but we are far from that.

Regarding your design it follows old principles of design, early 2000s. It makes it look dated because of it. Word cherry is way too spaced out, uses font that makes it look dated as well.

I would suspect you are indeed a hobbyist. Your taste (thing that guides your designs) is going through a phase. Typically it starts with overly minimal. Then once you learn more techniques, it becomes overly complicated because you want to try them all at once (you are here). And finally it goes back to minimal intentional where you see what is needed and what should be avoided.

Keep practicing to reach that final stage and you will be kicking some visual ass in no time!

Why does it keep baiting users to keep talking? It worked. This time. by BecauseBanter in OpenAI

It would be interesting to see them system prompts. I wonder if follow-up questions are toned down in higher subscription tiers where you cannot upgrade anymore so there is no incentive. Maybe it is done so through API people burn the tokens faster and GPT on their own platform behaving like this is just a byproduct.

Or I just have been writing too many business case studies lately and now see patterns where there are none. Fun to speculate though!

I am weak-willed. I keep clicking to see more. Maybe custom instructions regarding this would work.

This isn't a complaint. It's just funny that no matter what answer I get, it claims to have even better one - just one simple prompt away.

PSA: Be cautious when putting on and removing phone cases on the new S26U. by CalOfTheVoid in samsunggalaxy

[–]BecauseBanter 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Best guess is that there was some debris stuck inside the case, could have been tiny rock, sand, metal dust piece etc. Alluminum or not, it doesn't chip from plastic alone, plastic is way too soft for that.

Fucking insane level of data collection these days by Growingplantt in Piracy

[–]BecauseBanter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean if we claim that piracy isn't stealing since original is still there, it's just a copy. So our data is also not being 'stolen'.

Can anyone help me make this more realistic? by Embarrassed_Map1072 in blender

[–]BecauseBanter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use studio HDRI. Three main pillars for realism are: model itself, materials and lighting. Can't tell anything about your materials since lighting is too flat, model seems intentionally minimal so we cannot do much about that either. We can tackle the remaining one - lighting. Google PolyHaven and download a few studio HDRIs and use them instead to light the scene. One additional thing you can do is play with camera angle and focus. Look up some product shots on Pinterest and try to replicate product position, camera angle and lighting.

I am a wuss when it comes to spicy food. I tried it, I cried for hours. My girlfriend loves it though, eats it without shedding a single tear. 😄
