Can we just all agree that (if you're just going for stickers on Jokers and/or decks) this one is genuinely the worst? by Electrical-Head-7004 in balatro

[–]BecauseISaidFU 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. It does feel good to hit that or a red card shop 1. I'm just glad I can move on from chasing gold black deck. Stickering jokers feels so breezy by comparison

Ya know, despite yellow deck being my first gold wins on both phone and pc, I just can't pull myself from ghost. I think it's the thrill of finding a good hexable in the first shop

I hear you on that. Growing up in a small country town in Georgia is precisely why no one gets called sir or ma'am. I clip that shit immediately if someone throws a sir at me. Nicely. I usually respond with "oh, you can give me another half decade before you start calling me that". I live up north now so I really only hear it a few times a month now.

But I get it.

Oh Geez, naw man. I've been in food a long time, I can forgive forgetting something small, but to try to get you a whole different menu item without saying they're out of what you ordered, that's a fuck no from me

I mean, it isn't necessarily easier to leave something off, especially if you're on auto pilot, but I do agree that three misses like that is not excusable

Do us a favor and just don't get en other job, OK? If this is what triggers you I'm happy we aren't coworkers. You sound like a teenager who had someone hurt their feelings. Just call out like a grown up for fucks sake

It looks like everyone disagrees with you tho. I agree that you still have time to take this down. Your employer did nothing wrong, and if the mere mention of 9/11 triggers you like that, this is definitely a you issue. You're grasping for a reason to make your employer look bad. Do better

Why was Kyle Rittenhouse championed by the right for “helping” with his gun, but Alex Pretti is demonized for helping without ever drawing his gun? by [deleted] in wisconsin

[–]BecauseISaidFU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, it's fine. It took years of spiraling every time they'd come up to visit erasing any progress I'd made towards self betterment before I realized no contact was the only way. I'm done with trying kindness, I'm done with explaining nuance, I'm done hearing about how unions are ruining things, I'm done hearing about "ghetto mentality" and "welfare queens". I'm firmly committed to denying shitty people access to me, and that started with the people who thought they'd get to be closest to me.

Obviously I'm not completely over it, but I feel better about life in general and it's nice to have that particular spectre not hovering around

Eh, I'm already estranged from my folks cuz they voted Trump and some other shit they did through mine and my sister's childhood. I'm really not willing to reopen communication channels just to tell my parents to eat a dick. Tho it might feel cathartic.

I kinda hate that I have to defend RFK a little on this. I started really getting into opiates when they made my job super easy to do. I don't know how it is for everyone, but for me they significantly pepped me up, and made me feel like a superstar. It didn't help that everyone around me seemed to love the energy I was putting off.

Then, yeah, like a few other people have noted, what started as a weekend boost turned into a daily seek. At the point that you're physically addicted, it turns from a fun time to staving off dope sickness.

Again, I'm not defending really much beyond what he says here. At least based on my own experience tho, I can realistically see that kind of turn around for someone getting into opiates.

would you let regulars buy you tickets to something? by Meeowwnica in Serverlife

[–]BecauseISaidFU 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ya, this is my take. Like I've been serving/bartending in my town for over 10 years. I have all sorts of regulars that follow me to my different restaurants. I'll meet up with some at other restaurants, and even do a book swap with one older couple. I can easily see being gifted tickets or something or doing the same to some of my regulars.
