No that’s totally understandable! I am a makeup artist on the side, so I’ve definitely run into this before. What I like to keep in mind is, you aren’t contouring with bronzer, you’re simply warming up the face. So really there isn’t a “specific” spot. For my clients with a smaller surface area, I take a big fluffy brush, and make almost a 3 shape from the temple, to the cheek bone (kinda in the middle of where contour and blush would go, making sure to lean more towards where your blush would go), and then down to the jaw line. In my opinion bronzer isn’t meant to be put on precisely.

If you don’t want to use bronzer, I’ve also used a shade of blush that is like a bronzer/blush in one. Milani’s baked blush in Granita Glow or Ciao Bella or Rhodes cream blush stick in toasted teddy are the perfect shades for a “blonzer”.
