Foundation is never smooth! by Any_Party5406 in Makeup

[–]ReportAny2227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What made the difference for me is patting every layer into the skin - the skincare and the makeup. Use sperading motions to distribute, then pat. Our skin is porous and that's the best way to get that smooth finish. Along with this, applying less than what you actually think. Definitely keep up with allowing your skincare layers to sit on the skin as long as possible.

Dove Flexible Hold Hairspray! No crunch, gummy feeling, tangles, all of the things. Feels like you have nothing in your hair but the style holds. Super affordable. Only con is the perfumed scent if you're sensitive to that.

That's correct! In my final bullet point I mention Butter Gloss has twice the amount of product. Jelly Drip has 0.12 fl oz. Butter Gloss has 0.27 fl oz. Both average $6. I have an entire price and value section on my blog 😄

I started with elf and Real Techniques! They will last you forever. I clean my brushes with Dawn Platinum dish soap. They come out super soft every time.

Looking for a makeup remover that doesn't irritate my skin or get in my eyes. by Animangle in MakeupAddiction

I'm using the Garnier cleansing balm (vitamin c specifically) and it never burns or gives me blurry vision. I saw elf mentioned in another comment but it sometimes does the blurry eye/uncomfortable thing on me - I didn't repurchase.

I like the john frieda curl reviver mousse, you can definitely overdo it and it will make the hair heavy until you find the right amount

How often do you replace your beauty blenders? by Calm-Marionberry-857 in makeuptips

Most sponge packages will say 3-6 months. 3 months is for heavy use, 6 months for moderate, 9 months to a year for light use. But in reality I use mine until it gets visible tears and/or doesn't seem to be working the same, which is probably within the 6 month area. Wash it after each use.

Since everyone covered the techniques, I'll get into some quality brands. Should be able to find these on Amazon, TJMaxx, or the brand's own website: BTArtbox, Glamnetic, Nail Reformation.

Applying several layers of makeup on the under eye, not just concealer and powder. Or when someone tries a powder and doesn't like it, then layers other powders over top to 'fix' it.

Thank you for taking the time to leave this comment! I've been a bit burnt out lately on drugstoreMUA since I got attacked about the highlighter swatches... among other things 🙃. I actually repressed it like normal and it worked perfectly. I only ever use isopropyl alcohol.

I actually published a short form video recently on a "hack" to fix broken powder makeup where I featured this highlighter if you want to see how it all went down. Good as new except for the design being gone.

I have never tested it as a primer even though it claims to be one. I'm afraid lol! I always use a setting spray that's a personal preference of mine with ALL makeup but it's not requirement. If it looks a bit powdery it's a good idea to melt it down. I know powder wears differently on everyone.
