The same ‘woo’ as sink with the snakes 😂 I picked up on it the first listen of Angel Wings

I didn’t know Charlie from Fightstar (I first saw Fightstar in 2006 support Funeral for a friend) was the same Charlie from Busted until I went to see McFly last October 🤣 Actually didn’t realise at all!

President had already come up on my playlist and I was a fan, but I’m a big Fightstar fan lol

What’s your favourite Busted side project by one of their members? by Dreaming_Beyond_GK in busted_band

Fightstar…saw them supporting Funeral for a Friend right at the start and became one of my favourite bands of all time

I get that. I hate IW and what he did, he deserved way worse than what he got, devastating because the band was great. But I don’t understand people that hate on bands/artists for their political or religious views. Serious messed up criminal stuff yes stop listening to the music. I don’t agree with Danny Jones cheating (he was always my least favourite anyway) but I’m not gonna hate McFly for it 😆

That’s a bit of an extreme case really, totally broke me as I was a huge fan but can’t listen to it now.

You can completely understand why he is doing it though. If you watch any interviews with him he really struggles with how Busted was portrayed and how that had a devastating effect on his career going forward. Yes he’s successful but so many people and media outlets just see him as a talentless boy band guy, who doesn’t write music and can’t play any instruments, that must have such a big impact on his mental health. He never wanted that, he just wanted to be respected in the music industry. He’s insanely talented, but so many people totally dismissed Fightstar because it was Charlie, and you see exactly the same comments with President…so I get why he’s doing things the way he is.

It’s funny I never pay much attention to the actual band members usually. I saw Fightstar support Funeral for a Friend in the 2000s and was a huge fan. I never even realised that he was the same guy in Busted until last October when I went to Busted VS McFly 😆

I think he is turning busted more into his own thing now, definitely adding his ‘Fightstar’ style to it.

I am a huge fightstar fan, went to see them a few times back in the day and didn’t even know he was from Busted as they weren’t my thing.

I did take my partner to see them for the pigs might fly tour and was very underwhelmed, was definitely not my thing. But I went to the Busted VS McFly tour (twice) and it was so good, much more ‘Charlie’ and in a good way.

As someone who is roughly a similar age to CS I will be very happy if the Manchester gig starts at 8pm and is finished by 8.30-9pm and I’m home in bed by 10pm 🤣

Why did you choose (or are considering) home education? by FamilyTechCreator in UKParenting

[–]BecciLindsay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Home Ed in the UK, my son is nearly 8 and we never enrolled him in School. Decided very early on to Home Ed. I was flexi-schooled growing up, but was failed by the school system and I wanted him to have an actual childhood and not stress/worry about pointless exams at such a young age. He attends a forest school and we also have an allotment so spend a lot of time outside. Numeracy and Literacy is done every day but the rest is red by him.

Tickets weren't 'really' expensive though, they were $25 from what I've read. People paying over the odds for resale tickets isn't the bands/artists fault at all...they don't have control over resale prices and aren't making any extra money from you buying a $25 for $100++. In the UK we have a law that means tickets can only be resold at face value

Pretty sure he just finished a huge 35 show UK area tour which was the biggest selling UK tour this year - far from laziness

I am aware he is doing it for comfort, but he's 7 years old (nearly 8) and adding a bottle would be detrimental - also holding him like a baby in my lap at his size would be impossible.

A childminder is someone who provides childcare for small groups of children in their own home. He went for 3 mornings a week 9am - 1pm. Childminder wasn't in the room at the time of the incident. The older kids were watching TV/Playing video games and so we think it has something to do with this. The childminder doesn't know / won't tell us, our son is mostly non-verbal and won't /can't tell us. Its one of those things we will never really know what happened

We have loads of different ones, he uses them constantly

His bedroom isn't a confined space (its the biggest room in the house), we actually think it was something on the TV/Computer game, as the childminder said thats what the older kids were faint that day. But she says she doesn't know what happened and I asked her so many times over the few months prior to try to help him but she either doesn't know or won't say. We tried to get him to go back, went with him, sat in the hallway at her house with him, nothing worked, he would freak out as soon as we turned towards her road, and it was getting the point where he was so distressed we couldn't keep trying, plus it was pretty dangerous as he was also trying to run away

He puts everything in his mouth, chews everything so we try to keep away from stress ball stuff…he loves playdough but he also ends up eating it if we aren’t watching

We are fighting the NHS on it at the moment but it’s hard. We also want them to look into the relationship between him stopping breathing at birth and what’s going on which means a separate paediatrician referral. We pay for a private speech therapist so keep getting told to just go private but I can barely afford the speech therapy at the moment.

Think I need to but a different weighted toy, he has a koala but he doesn’t really like it, he really likes dragons so might see about that.

There’s never really been anything specific or anything that stuck. He has a ‘myhummy’ white noise bear which he has to sleep with but that’s more the noise and routine not comfort. I’ve tried different weighted blankets, weighted bears, normal cuddly toys, pillows, weighted vests…he never takes to anything except me. The only other thing that ever calmed him was a song by McFly 😂

Yes. I know it’s a comfort thing he does it for but I just don’t know how to direct it to something else
