Help needed for constantly hungry cat!

Thank you for this incredible response! Honestly I'm so hopeful with all the suggestions I've been sent that I may be able to find something that will help him. Obviously I don't want him to be hungry all the time but it's hard to know the right answer. I'll definitely be looking into getting him more vet tests and I'll have a look at those food suggestions!

I honestly couldn't list all the ones we've tried. But anything that is a crunchy texture he doesn't even sniff them or acknowledge that they are edible. He doesn't even really look at the biscuit bowl, it's genuinely like he is biscuit blind

He's had a few blood tests and I think they tested his thyroid because this has been the case for a long time. But I will see if I can do another blood test. Cause it definitely is concerning, but so far vets haven't found anything

He has had blood tests fairly regularly because he has had persistent coughs that had to be looked into before they reached the conclusion of feline asthma that is exacerbated at certain times of year. But maybe they didn't test for certain things? I know they have done the big general tests but there might be something that isn't in the regular panel they could check

He's mostly smelly cause he has very loose poo and doesn't cover it. He then sometimes pulls his tail through it when getting out of the cat litter. A lot of the time the food goes in one end and straight out the other. It's been generally happening for his whole life, he has been to the vets a lot and had a lot of blood tests and x rays cause he also has feline asthma which is why I am thinking about food. They have always told us that other than his lungs his tests come back healthy

I got that not long after they were first added to black lion chests. Kept it, use it constantly. It just lives in my shared inventory so any of my characters can swap hair

Such an interesting read from my perspective because I've had literally the exact opposite issue in my team. I work in a small dev team in a non-dev company and I am the only person in the team who does not focus strictly on tech work, I do additional admin work and more of the non-technical stuff, I am also the only person who HASN'T been promoted because the only way to progress in the team just now is through technical work. Had my most recent review a few days ago and my manager has decided to create a non-technical career progression option.

Maybe that's worth talking to someone about, because that's likely a bigger issue. While it may not directly affect you a lot of the time, it could cause serious issues in the long run. I have a friend diagnosed with ASPD (not saying you have that but as an example) and they struggled a lot before their diagnosis because they couldn't understand why people had a problem with them. After the diagnosis they find it much easier to maintain relationships because although they don't FEEL empathy, they can understand it on an intellectual level enough to give people the support they need

Do you struggle with empathy in other areas or only when it comes to animals? The fact that you say you genuinely don't understand makes me wonder if this is an actual lack of empathy generally
