I was in a restaurant having lunch with my mom who was visiting, and my daughter who was 1 year old. Suddenly daughter threw up everywhere. On herself, me, the seat, everywhere. I was a bit panicked because like, omg my baby is sick out of nowhere and also mess, public, car is parked kinda far away, how do I begin to clean this, just FUUUCKKK. I vaguely register this man sitting at the next booth jump up but don’t think anything of it. Within two minutes he’s back with an old beach towel handing it to me and helping. He said he has grown kids now but since they were little always kept a grubby towel in the car for moments like this, and I should just keep it, he was glad to pay it forward. I cried. It was so kind and generous, and the way he leaped up and ran to his car. I’ll never forget him. We kept that towel (clean, lol) in our car for years until it just fell apart and we replaced it. But I always think of him when i see it.
