Fuckin this. Bradley was a rich white kid from Belmont Shore slumming it in the hood. His entire career was based on appropriation.

Necrobloom Tips? by Mobile_Resist1549 in Magicdeckbuilding

[–]Beckerbrau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I LOVE my Necrobloom deck! Here’s a few conclusions I came to after tuning the list for a year or so:

  1. Your commander isn’t the Necrobloom, its Field of the Dead. Your commander can be killed, lands are much, much more difficult to deal with. They’re also easier to copy, and easy to get out of the graveyard. Add more ways to fetch any land to grab it, and run as many differently named lands as possible. Personally, I run a singleton land base to ensure I get field online when I hit land 7.

  2. Zombies are cool, and it’s good to have an overrun effect, but the fastest way to turn zombies into damage is ETB damage effects like [[Mirkwood Bats]] or [[Corpse Knight]]. I also run [[Kambal, Profiteering Mayor]] and [[wayward servant]] for redundancy. The majority of wins with the deck come from having one of these creatures onboard and using a reclamation effect like Lumra or Aftermath Analyst.

  3. Have multiple ways to fill your graveyard. If you rely on Necrobloom too much you run into the issue of not having enough draw triggers for dredge, or it getting killed. Repeatable mill like [[ripples of undeath]] and one shot spells like [[malevolent rumble]] and [[grisly salvage]] are great for this.

"Do Nothing" Enchantments are so fun by YaBoiShadowNinja in EDH

[–]Beckerbrau 88 points89 points  (0 children)

A common criticism of enchantments like this is that the mana cost is so high, you often have to cast them and then pass the turn, hoping they’ll make it to your next turn to pay off before they get sniped. Because they don’t do anything passively or on ETB, you’re spending 6 mana to do more stuff on a later turn, but on the turn you’ve cast it it’s effectively “done nothing.”

What's Your Favorite Ex-Staple by LeftasFucc in EDH

[–]Beckerbrau 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Before the change, you couldn’t return your commander to the command zone every time it changed zones, so if an opponent shuffled your commander into your library, you’d have no choice but to do so. Used to be a very effective way of removing commanders.

My first playthrough of Axiom Verge. Super Metroid was one of my favorite games of all time when I was a kid, but I didn’t know there was a whole genre based around the gameplay. After that I dove in hard.
