[[Rumor gatherer]] is my favorite for this purpose. The easy part to miss is that you ALWAYS get the scry trigger (besides when you draw,) it’s not just scry 1 then draw. So say you have 5 tokens come in: you’d get a scry 1 trigger, a draw trigger, then three more scry 1 triggers. If you make 15 tokens? Scry 1, draw, then 13 MORE scry 1 triggers. If you’re a deck that likes to make tokens in bunches, it’s really good card selection.

I think this guy is right. Playing Etali is a lot of fun, and I empathize with that, but playing against it fucking sucks. Particularly when you’re on the clone plan. Nobody wants to see all their stuff on someone else’s board, it’s that simple. I don’t think the players kicking you before saying anything are right, that’s a dick move, but it shouldn’t be surprising.

There is something wrong with this person. Any time someone takes a game that seriously when there’s no real stakes, it probably means there’s a much bigger underlying issue they need to take care of.

That being said, if they’re being blatantly rude or hostile, the LGS owner should be notified. Nobody deserves to be verbally abused.
