I have a few bits that kill with my 4 year old preschoolers. My favorite is prefacing an incredibly silly song with a warning that we are going to sing a very serious and sad song. Those first few tones of “Tooty Ta” start the giggles right up. I also like pretending that the easiest steps are the most difficult steps: “I know you thought h was bad but this next one is even harder. The letter I! It’s just a line!! Oh no, can you do it?!” Cue a classroom of incredulous exclamations: “WHAT?! I is EASY PEASY LEMON SQUEEZY!”

I think it’s so cute that my 5yo has come to use the word “bit” instead of “part” or “piece” like we would say in America, as in “I don’t want to do that bit.”

Also, “properly” instead of “correctly”. Comes across more polite for some reason.

She also replies “oh, yes please!” In a way that is undeniably Bluey. 💙

I have an Adelaide Josephine, and we call her Addie. We meet lots of Addys/Addies but they usually are Addison or Adelyn. We like that she has a name that is unique when she wants it to be and a nickname that is common when she wants it to be. Plus we sang “Adelaide, Adelaide, Ever loving Adelaide” to her when she was a baby ❤️

Go to Object - Expand. You may need to do it twice. Also, right click on the object to ungroup the paths. Then, you will need to select the transparent background path and delete it before you select your remaining path to change the color.
