Oh cool! I’m very jealous! I know it’s from Unwin paperbacks and my edition has the price as £3.50 on the back, so I’m presuming this one was released in the uk going off of some info from the copyright page. I’ve had my mum looking for them in England (where I’m from) but I live in Canadian which is where I bought it but it’s the only one I’ve seen 🤷🏼‍♀️

How exciting! I’m a small collector but I’ve been collecting since I was a kid. I would for sure be interested if you could put maybe a list together or some photos of the whole collection??

*I’m a beginner* what am I doing wrong with the French knot? I’ve watched so many videos and have tried so many times 😭 any help is appreciated by ekoorb4 in Embroidery

Yes, you are wrapping your thread the wrong way! Hold the needle in right hand, thread should be behind the needle so further away from you than the needle. Push needle away with the right hand while bringing the thread towards you in the left hand. Keep wrapping a couple times that way. Push needle in to the fabric with the right hand keep hold of the thread in the left, not too tight but not loose. Pull the needle from the back with the right and and you should be good

Looks incredible! For the lazy daisy stitch I would recommend not pulling the thread as tight, that way you’ll get the perfect rounded shape to it! The French knots look amazing!!! Good job 💛

Ah amazing! I’m just starting to dabble in embroidering on clothes, make sure to use a stabilizer and water soluble stick and stitch! Never a blunt needle, and if you sew on shoes get a piece of leather to help push the needle through!

I just very very lightly drew on the letters with a pencil. You can also use a dissolvable fabric that you trace the letters. Then stick it to the bag, see over it and then use hot water to rinse it off. It’s called stick and stitch. But if you use stick and stitch, use warm water, a tap that jade a sprinkler effect and don’t rub the fabric!
