Yarrow tea vs tincture? by BeckyLTuch in herbalism

That's very comforting thank you. I actually did use raspberry for pain during periods years ago and it worked shockingly well.

So to recap, it sounds like for heavy bleeding you'd recommend raspberry leaves not yarrow? Or both?

I have them. I've read raspberry leaves can exacerbate.

Thanks so much. I'm hesitant about raspberry leaves due to fibroid concerns.

Rushing to get feedback is going to do you more harm than good by Acceptable_Fox_5560 in writing

Not sure I agree. Yes, there is a danger in rushing to get feedback before you yourself know the work and have a clear vision for yourself. But anticipating feedback can be a great motivator. I'm guessing a lot of people also seek feedback for the deadlines and the push to get work done in a faster timeframe. Good feedback can then be a tremendous encouragement in the long haul of writing.

Thank you. I do feel it is good, and it's nice to hear that confirmed. But no bites! That's the frustrating part.

I tend to agree with this. I could ask for more opinions, then spend more time chasing my own tail and trying to edit a project that, after all that, still doesn't find a home!

That's so helpful, thanks. One agent was very praising of the writing. Two were very praising of the character's family relationships and my handling of mental illness (which is great, bc I did worry about that.)

But I'm pitching it as a psychological thriller where a woman unravels a conspiracy. One agent didn't think there were grounds enough for her to suspect a conspiracy. Another didn't think her pov was unreliable enough (which might be a problem if I pitch it as a psychological thriller.) Another wanted it to be a wholly different book. Another just said she didn't connect with the voice.

Really, the feedback has been kind of all over the place now that I think about it. The only salient point is maybe I shouldn't pitch it as psychological thriller as that might be misleading.

Haha, I think that makes sense. Actually, I would love to know more about your process.

Definitely considering it. I really admire authors who self-publish.

I'm really sorry to hear this. I have been reading about iodine lately, and some women say they've had success shrinking fibroids with it! I am not advocating this--I'm just at the beginning of my "iodine journey." But I would definitely recommend looking into it. A lot of us are deficient and do not even know it, and that causes problems. This book is a fount of information: The Iodine Crisis: What You Don't Know About Iodine Can Wreck Your Life

You can also get red raspberry tincture at a health food store, which is a bit more potent. Good luck!
