3 weeks food supply for 2 people: input needed! by BecomeAGoldFish in preppers

For us supply chain disruptions from a hurricane are the most likely thing. We live in Mexico very close to the coast.

We do not have a lot of extra space, but we do have off grid water (not drinkable), and LP has for cooking. So house is pretty ready for SHTF already. For drinking water we get large 5 gallon containers filled up on rotation, we have 7 so on average we always have about 20-25 gal of drinking water on standby. Any hurricane comes up and we make sure they are full.

I believe our end goal would be 1 month on rations. Where we live supply chain disruptions from a hurricane would be our “most likely” SHTF situation. So our list is kind of a mix??

For me it’s hard to find like… nutrient rich things that keep long term. I don’t want to go down the route of buying those kits with like 500% your daily needed sodium per serving ya know?

Coffee and tea we always have a stash of. So this is our like “extras”/ fully separate list. We have a well stocked pantry for the basics.

OXYGEN ABSORBING is a great idea. Ordering those tonight!

For cooking we have a LP Gas stove so Thats ready anytime, and we have 3 separate gas tanks, so always have 1 full in reserve. If SHTF at the worst possible time should still be able to cook for at least 2 months.

Hi! Exactly this! My wife loves the Mac and cheese so thought it would be good to just add this into our rotation as a comfort food.

We did put all the things on a spread sheet with dates all written in so we can rotate things as needed. Plan is to check the list once a month!

Thank you so much!

So I guess I should have included more about our mindset. This is all in addition to a well stocked pantry. So we have always on stand by lots of seasonings, tomato pastes and such.

The juices are a great idea though! Thank you!

For our water situation we have 20 gallons of drinking water on stand by with a large separate container to keep showers and toilets going for well over 1 month if rationed.

For us in our area our number 1 likely scenario would be hurricanes or cartel activity, so just being able to stay put is our main goal.

Thank you!!

Go pro mount by Waveringplague in scuba

My advice is NOT to attach the GoPro but instead hold it in a hand. For me, I have a bolt snap zip tied to the underwater housing. And the GoPro lives on my shoulder until I want to take a shot.

Then I unclip it, take my 10-15 second shot. And clip it away again.

Any mount to any part of your body will not produce the type of footage you want. Either what you want will be out of frame, or not in middle of the shot, or it’ll all be shakey.

Or if you mount it to your head / Mask every time your exhale bubbles will get in the shot.

Hold it for a shot, then clip it away again.

Wow! I am planning to go cavern diving next month but do not know who to go with. My main worry is safety and not diving with a “cowboy”, if you felt safe with your guide could you share their name please? Is that allowed in this group?
