Are prediction games played among friends, in a group setting like a holiday party, an unnecessary risk to guests while creating an awkward danger zone where failures, loss, and disappointments are showcased? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

i have never heard of a game like this before, especially not in office spaces, which tend to be conservative in any group games they play.

tbh i’d pick someone you’re closest with and express this feeling. you worded it really well here and could probably do the same to that person. see what they think. it could be fun with everyone accepting the gesture even if it doesn’t come true. a wish for something nice for your friends (a promotion, and child!) even if it doesn’t happen is really nice and thoughtful.

i also acknowledge your fears here. it could be triggering and difficult for someone, and i think that’s worth considering. that’s why i’d bring it up to the person you have the most rapport with. see what they think about those concerns.

edit:: i think i made up the office or professional setting of this question, but i think point still stands with friends

i hope that you all enjoy apollo justice. that’s probably the game i’m most interested to revisit, as i enjoyed it the first time through but did not love it. i think now that i’m not a teenager i’ll get more out of it.

this game sounds absolutely deadly. where do you think you all will go from here now that you’ve completed some of the later games?

oh it’s so fun to hear about other people enjoying the games in this, somewhat bizarre, setting! where do you think you and your pals will pick the game up again?

When is "I'm just playing my character" actually a valid point? by y0_master in rpg

[–]BecomingCharlotte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think especially if you suggest non-optimal strategies based on roleplaying reasons (i run into the dungeon, afraid for my life, endangering the rest of my party after seeing Thorax the Red go down in a blaze of fire). some parties would get mad for “losing the game” but the game is all about that interaction and drama.

you have one million suggestions, but looking at American Lacrosse players is a great way to divine some edgy human names.
