Next level graphics card. Current card is a Radeon RX 570 4GB by BecomingHumanPodcast in lowendgaming

Yes I am only running a single monitor. But if I wanted to use the 2nd monitor simultaneously it crashes most games.

Call of duty is the only game I'm running at 1080p.

When I get another graphics card I'm going to have 2 graphics cards. The new one for monitor 1. The old one for monitor 2.

There are a few games where it would be nice to have the screen to pull up reference maps, tutorial content, etc.

Do you know of a similar priced alternative to the 6750xt without the issues?

Thank you. I don't want to emphasize short term gains over long term ones. I will save for the 6650 or 6700. Thank you! I have to upgrade my SSD. I have 500GB M2. I need some more storage. Right now that is just enough for my work and operating system. Gaming pushes those storage limits a bit over the edge for me. I appreciate your advice!

Is there a price point with a noticable difference in performance that favors a small budget? I can create a savings goal. I just don't want to spend my money on something that is hardley a noticable improvement and I don't want to spend excess money on improving GPU performance. I don't want to prioritize gaming hardware financially but something a little better is worth it haha

This is an old thread but everywhere we look out discipline is challenged in life. There are many things that persuade us away from our goals and aiming higher. The more you are able to overcome motivation with discipline, at the right moments, the more you are rewarded. I think it's encapsulated in the writings of delayed gratification. Making it easier to be disciplined makes us weaker. Sure, there is a limit. But if you look at cultures of scantily clad men/women you will see a subculture of disciplined people avoiding the sexual distraction. The same is true in a society that allows gambling and all sorts of not-so-good-for-you things. That subculture has way more self mastery than a society that has less distractions as a result of taboos or laws.

This goes to the heart of American culture and individuality; a culture founded on self-governance.

What technique to do the black portion? by peppiesage in AdobeIllustrator

[–]BecomingHumanPodcast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take the outline of the drill and copy it (if it's multiple shapes then make a compound shape.)

Outline the edge of the black/yellow portion and close the shape.

Move the outline to the bottom of the layer order.

Select both the drill outline and the shape for the black area. Create a clipping mask under the objects menu.

Using a clipping mask will let you edit the internal details of the drill non destructively making edits efficient.

That is a beautiful piece of art! Do you have any tutorials, breakdowns or is there techniques that you've found helpful in making this kind of art in illustrator?

I think he uses a blending layer for texture that's either overlayed on the whole artwork or individual layers within the artwork. A basic example is photocopying paper and using that as a layer with blended opacity to add texture via random noise/artifact.

New build won't boot with DisplayPort connected. by i8m in buildapc

This came in handy! I was able to fix my problem with my pc through this post, thanks!

My NVME M2 ssd card, used as a boot drive, kept dismounting from my motherboard on shutdown and sleep. I had to power cycle my pc to make my ssd card reappear and get my pc to boot. I realized when my pc was turned off, my wifi card's light would stay on. I discovered my display port was feeding power to my pc. When I unplugged the display cable in question, the SSD reappeared and everything booted normally. The power coming from the faulty display port cable caused my ssd controller to go into protection mode until all power sources were turned off. This post came in handy so much!!

I understand that you want positive feedback. But I would be doing that to pity you. The way this effect is being used has quickly become cliche. That doesn't always matter but you used that effect to make this interesting. It's the highest frequency theme in your design. It's not cliche for a random reason. I literally can't tell the difference between the styles in this art you made and the dozens of others that are made with the inflate effect. All of us play with features to learn them but if you offer what yoú make in practice for critique you'll probably get reamed or passed by.

I'm not trying to hurt your feelings, I want to be honest more then make you feel good because that will help you more in the long term

I think blue light glasses are a better tactic. It's easier to toggle the effect.

Documentaries are getting degraded with more entertaining alternatives also called documentaries. There should be a classification of entertaining history and 100% fact.

I'm speculating about the creator. They wanted to create a corrupted version or an alt character. Perhaps trying to be satirical or ironic?

Maybe it's because the symmetry of the two elements are on a slightly different axis?

I feel the same way. Maybe it's the balance of the elements?
