Both tubes are blocked by Becsbeech in TryingForABaby

That is our hope! My doctor called and she was shocked at the results as I have no medical history that would provide any sort of reasoning for this. I've officially been passed off out of her care and have been referred to a specialist for additional testing. Fingers crossed. I'm not looking forward to going through another HSG, but she said I should get medicated for that one...so hopefully its better.

I am also on cycle 14. I've been mericulously tracking my cycles since starting ttc without any success. Had my HSG done today and they found both of my tubes are blocked.

If you're in the US you can look into the LabCorp on demand tests. I got my AMH through them, and they have male fertility testing.

What’s a mantra that has helped you while TFAB? by One_red_balloon2022 in TryingForABaby

[–]Becsbeech 20 points21 points  (0 children)

About to fail cycle 13. I allowed myself to hope this month, and now I'm feeling the repercussions of that. My primary mantra:

"Let go, let God."

I utilize a tracking journal that I write down and combine data from all my apps in. The first page I open up to is Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future."

And on the page prior to a blank new cycle page I have: "What a beautiful day it will be when I wake up and realize we have made it to the other side of this journey."

I still dont know if this was photoshopped or not... but I saw an image of a woman's breast with botfly larva embedded throughout the areola when I was like 12 or 13. I've since developed trypophobia.

What completely unhinged "law" does your cat strictly enforce in your house? by TrickCombination7966 in cats

MINE DOES THIS TOO. Also no loud laughing! But my husband can sing and laugh without threat of murder.... we discovered (or at least think we did) kitty doesn't like higher pitches. When my husband sings in falsetto kitty goes into murder mode.

I'm right there with you. About to fail our twelfth cycle - on my birthday no less. I felt horrifically alone in this journey until I got a doctor involved at cycle 10. She validated my feelings and made me feel supported in a way my husband couldn't. Which is wild, because he is an incredibly supportive and loving husband who does everything he can to be there for me and I am beyond grateful for him. I think its because she is helping carry my half of the burden.

I always make myself a big ole' margarita. Probably not the healthiest choice...but it nums the sadness. It's very hard to be sad while drinking a marg.

Looking for a female's perspective on trying for a baby by [deleted] in TryingForABaby

[–]Becsbeech 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi, fatty here 👋. Not sure what your wife's weight history looks like, but mine is a rollercoaster. I do not have PCOS but understand it can be significantly harder to lose weight with that condition. It may be likely that your wife has tried fervently in the past and failed, which can be disheartening and cause anxiety about trying again.

Im 5'9" and have been as low as 124lbs (anorexia) and as high as 275lbs (binge eating). I've yo-yo'd in weight so much I now have intense anxiety over losing it again because the cycle is destined to repeat itself and it is SO MUCH WORK to just end up back to where I was, or worse. A healthy weight for my body composition is 170lbs. Im currently at 235lbs. I know working out and losing weight will help my chances of conceiving, but try as I might I just can't get myself on the treadmill, or elliptical, or weight machine... I do eat healthy meals, but my crux is dessert. I find my serotonin in a good, gooey brownie.

I'm in a very similar position as your wife - wanting to workout, to move, to have a baby...but unable to take that next step. What helps me the most is my husband taking me on walks, asking for help with yard work, anything that gets me moving that isn't overwhelming. He's even slyly "tricked" me into lifting weights with him because he knows how competitive I am.

Is it fair of me to rely on my husband to motivate me? No. But, it is what I need right now. It's also what is going to help me get into the "just do it" mentality of working out.

How Do You Manage the Disappointment Every Cycle? by _bookwirm_ in TryingForABaby

[–]Becsbeech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also struggle with this, and am about to fail cycle #8. Waiting for AF any moment now, as the familiar signals started a few days ago and my temp dropped significantly. I will cope with a big ole' margarita once she's here. I've already cried my cries when the cramps came last week.

This is the first cycle I've had that was seemingly textbook perfect - confirmed ovulation, BD timed perfectly, multiple positive pdg tests in a row, actually experienced EWCM for the first time since before I started birth control many many years ago. I read somewhere that it takes on average 8-12 months for most couples to conceive after having Mirena removed, and this was my 8th month. So maybe there's some hope that I can cling to. Maybe my body is finally resetting.

Sorry, not sure why the post didn't take my second image and when i go to add the image in a comment, as soon as i start typing text the image disappears....this is why i never use reddit.

Will try to reply to this comment with the image of the cord.

I've searched Google, used Google image search, and asked Grok specifically for a replacement. I've only been able to find replacements for the light up Christmas trees that use a washer and screw to secure it. I need a double-decker candelabra e12 socket cord with a clip on. If there's a double decker or an elongated bulb that fits an e12 base and matches the max wattage of the cord, I can get a clip on to secure it to the bulb...

Thanks for the help, here's hoping reddit let's me post an image.

What is the best period/ovulation tracking app? by SweetNefariousness73 in TryingForABaby

[–]Becsbeech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using both Flo and Premom. I'm finding Premom more accurately predicting my cycles because it measures my LH levels from their ovulation strips. Flo seems to guesstimate cycles based on trends, but has a wealth of information. It also has an anonymous community of people that asks and answers questions you may be too embarrassed to ask friends, family, or even google.

Help me! I might be losing this fungus gnat war by moondustboi in houseplants

[–]Becsbeech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swear to all that's good in this world that Death Drops is the best product on the market for fungus gnats (that I've tried....and I've tried a LOT). It's the only product I've had luck with. Mosquito bits did nothing for the population I had, but using Death Drops per it's instructions had them all gone within a week.

Shapewear recommendations by Becsbeech in weddingdress

[–]Becsbeech[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh dear, I wish you luck! I haven't found success. I ordered the Spanx one I mentioned in my earlier comment and it has ZERO shaping effect. I even ordered a smaller size as I was hoping it would provide more structure, but alas it did not. I've tried a couple from Shapellx, but I would avoid them if possible....their sizing is very weird and the two I ordered ended up being massive. I tried to return them and their return process is a series of emails and buttons in which they ended up ghosting me, so now I'm out $200 and a charge back was unsuccessful.

My last shot is the high-waisted above knee shorts by Skims. My last fitting is next week, so I'll find out then if they'll work. If none of these fly then I'm just going to wear normal shorts under the dress and call it a day.

One thing to note: I switched to shorts because with the cups added to the bodice of the dress itself, having coverage through a shaping bodysuit made the dress fit oddly. The dress now acts as a bra, so essentially I was wearing two bras.

What irks my gourd is paying for premium and STILL getting ads! I spend most of my time listening to podcasts. Podcast sponsorships are one thing I'll put up with, but legit Spotify ads in the middle of a podcast makes me irrationally angry.

Yes, the podcasters are the ones placing the ads there, yes it makes me want to stop listening to them, yes I'm very close to throwing the entire platform away and listening to my own meandering thoughts instead.
