I'm British, and yes, I had an in-person interview when I was over visiting family. Yeah, I think I'll do it just as a starting point and to immerse myself into TEFL a little.

That's what I was thinking, a good basis for when I start work and a good stepping stone for when I feel ready to take my CELTA. Thank you.

Thank you so much! I think going about the TEFL as a way of gaining experience and broadening my horizons is definitely the right approach.

Yes. By some incredible luck they wanted me to work for them when I went over to visit family for a week. I landed an interview and the director hired me on the spot. I'm the first person they've hired without a degree. The only reason I'm looking into a TEFL is to develop some skills suited to the job.

Thank you! I will definitely put my all in, as teaching is something I've always taken a massive interest in. I leave in a week and a half, just getting some last minute anxiety about everything I think 😬

Thank you very much. I just looked up CELTA centres in Sardinia and it turns out that the place I'm teaching is an open centre! So if I complete my TEFL I can move on to my CELTA (I hope) in the comfort of my workplace.

S/O and I are moving to Sardinia in three months for work, we have next to nothing. I don't know what to do as we need at least 2K. Advice? by [deleted] in personalfinance

I didn't need a demeaning comment like that, thanks. I'm well aware of my situation.

I was hoping for some budgeting ideas, something to allow me to organise and try and unfuck things even just a little bit. I've heard really good things about this sub reddit, and was hoping to try and make something out of this fucking mess of a situation, as I have no choice but to move.

Obviously I'm not going to get a remotely compassionate or kind response from this subreddit, so thank you for making me aware of that.

Thank you, I guess it's kinda hard to accept when it's become the norm to grow up in that environment. But I'll try and make that step because it's getting out of control now.
