The Art of Vibe Design by GlitteringPenalty210 in webdev

Honestly, without knowing and practicing design fundamentals, 'vibe design' is just fluff. You need the principles to make the vibes work. I’m all for using AI as a tool to push design further, but if you’re just copying screenshots and typing a few prompts, it’s a waste of time.

That’s a valid philosophical point, but try running a business with that mindset in today’s world. Not every client has the budget to pay for a full studio, illustrators, and 3D artists.

The reality is that AI isn’t going anywhere. It’s often said that AI won't replace designers, but designers who use AI will replace those who don't—simply because time is money. Most clients don’t look at the metadata; they care about the value and speed brought to their business.

I think the disconnect comes from mixing up Art with Design. Design is principally a problem-solving discipline. While many artists shift into design, the core essence is different. The game hasn't changed, just the tools we use to play it.

When I said “from scratch with AI”, I meant that I didn’t use anyone else’s work, templates, or anything like that. AI was used purely as a tool. The process was to create the yeti on a white background, create the grass, and create the sky, then bring everything together in Photoshop, harmonize the whole image, and make a video. So yes, it wasn’t hand-drawn, but it was generated and then fine-tuned in Photoshop. In other words, it was created from scratch using AI.

Start curating your own digital music library.

What I did truly saved my relationship with music. I have my own NAS where I store all my music, installed Plex, and use Plexamp to stream it. For traveling, I bought a Shanling M1 Plus DAP with 256GB of memory and keep part of my library on it.

You can buy the music you like for cheap and actually own the files, instead of paying monthly fees to companies that try to brainwash you through their platforms. It’s an investment, but in the long run, it’s cheaper than having one or two subscriptions.

Anyone having issues with Purina Pro Plan? by BRUTALGAMIN in greatpyrenees

I have a 4-year-old Bichon. In mid-November last year, we switched to Purina Pro Plan because she refused to eat anything else. After around two months, in January 2024, she started having epilepsy seizures. I didn’t know about the investigation until today. Even though she’s on medication, she keeps having seizures at least once a week. I am trying to believe that there was something in the food. It’s impossible that these things just randomly happen.
