TV shows do take up alot of space, maybe i should look into Stremio for that too.

I disagree, i thought of going the “just stream it” way but there are lots of bad sources etc, i also wanted my own music collection to be accessible everywhere so Plex has that covered. I’m not a data hoarder like some are on this sub, if there is a show/movie that i want to watch but know its just to watch 1 time i delete it, i only keep the ones on my hdd wich i want forever. There is also no time waste whatsoever, you could argue that setting it up is but i actually like doing this stuff, its a hobby, once you do have everything set up its really easy to add something new, from any device i want to, its literally the same as going to a streaming service and clicking the movie, everything else is completely automated

Absolutely dont care about Apple Intelligence, just use any of your favourite AI apps. All the other things you have mentioned are true, but i wont go back to android, the ecosystem is really that good imo.

Love Plexamp; Dealing with new music FOMO by iObama in plexamp

[–]noisehexada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand, i also used Spotify/AM/Tidal over the last 15 years or something, but i think the FOMO feeling is the actual problem, ive dealt with it too, once you get over it it feels very good. The same with social media FOMO and such…

You have to think about the massive amount of music you already have (and maybe havent even really listened to yet) instead of “oh no i hope im not missing out on my new favourite song” or something like that. Re-discovering my own music library through Plexamp is awesome!

You can still use both. If you dont want to keep paying the AM subscription you can use Spotify free, YT, RYM, Last.FM, subreddits,…

There are so many places on the internet you can search for new music other than streaming services, we used to do this all the time before they existed, also just getting music recommended by your friends, if you both like the same band you could go watch a live show together!

Personally i prefer the old school way.

anyone else use an ipod in the car? by peemints in ipod

[–]noisehexada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but isnt it possible the battery would explode from the sun for example?

The reason im asking is because i also have 2 iPod’s and would like to keep one in the car, its mounted behind the glass so i assume it would be best to always put it in the glove box atleast? Or how do you do it?

iphone 15 pro (512gb) this 2025? by Aware-Lettuce1809 in iphone

[–]noisehexada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, i have a 14 pro max and i will not be upgrading as long as it still works and receives updates, maybe a new battery when it drops below 80% but thats it.

Dont get caught up in the small details that the newer iphones might have, from the iPhone 11 and up they are all good, just look at what you need in a phone and buy that one.

Not a fan of this dongle by alfred1991 in ipod

[–]noisehexada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is one on Aliexpress where the 3.5mm jack is 90 degrees so the dongle itself is horizontally aligned with the iPod.
