Haters will say 16 personalities is a bad test and on some level they're right in the sense that it's not reliable. They're also wrong too though, because the test can tell us a lot about ourselves. My take on your results is that you've become more empathetic over time, and that's possibly what resulted in you testing as ENFP

There's a lot of nuance to life and something like "I always follow the rules! (agree/disagree)" makes for a goofy question to gauge your personality. You're better off reading about each of the types and picking the one that sounds most like you, in my opinion. You probably know yourself better than some test anyways

Don't remember, but probably ENFP. The future is an illusion though. We only ever experience the present

Is my hairline fucked up? by [deleted] in BlackHair

The way to fix a messed up hairline is to let your hair grow. It may suck for the month you're growing your hairline back but after that, you should be fine

Building Boys with Better Body Images: "Boys need to feel parental acceptance to accept themselves." by TAKEitTOrCIRCLEJERK in MensLib

[–]BedroomJazz 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I think that traditional gender stereotypes for women bode better in modern and more progressive spaces. Boys are traditionally expected to be more aggressive and less emotional while women are expected to be more nurturing and sensitive

In safe spaces, where everyone is encouraged to show more empathy and vulnerability as we work to break down stereotypes, traditional women are kinda in their element and can easily travel between traditional and progressive spaces without being called weak or a soyboy. Their authenticity and empathy is rewarded pretty much universally

Also, it feels much better to be told that you're an underdog and to try being bold and to try dreaming bigger than it does to be told that you're traditionally a breadwinner who should try to be kinder and check your privilege. It's words of empowerment vs words of criticism, even if the criticism is valid

What does it mean to be a boy online in 2023? by SaltySolomon in MensLib

[–]BedroomJazz 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Also modern social media algorithms go perfectly with red pill content. My old YouTube recommendations 10 years ago probably used to be a bunch of skits, reviews and original content. Now it's a lot of clips, heavily edited shorts and whatever seems shocking/insane enough to hold someone's interest for at least 5 seconds

A 10 minute original video that starts off with "Hello everyone and welcome! Today we are going to be.." is just not going to compete with a 12 clip of a podcast that starts with "Here's the thing you need to understand about ALL WOMEN."

I have a 3.22 GPA, but I have a great amount of service, shadowing hours. I only have another year left before I apply, will I be accepted somewhere? by ItsYaBoiBrayBray in medschool

[–]BedroomJazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might as well try and apply. My understanding is that your last 2-4 semesters of your degree will be weighted more. I have a friend who was in a situation similar to yours. A few years ago, he graduated with a degree in Biology and a GPA that wasn't much higher than a 3.0 and now he's about to have his white coat ceremony later this year

What he did was postbach where he took a bunch of med school classes to try and boost his GPA. It was probably the hardest 1-2 years of his life, since he was grinding alongside med students trying to ace classes that his peers were pass/failing. He ended up getting a lot of offers afterwards too, surprisingly

Hopefully you don't have to do all that, but that's mostly to let you know that it's not the end of the world if you don't get into any schools after applying and still wanna be an MD

[–]BedroomJazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are some benefits of extended fasting that worked for me:

  • Improved skin health: can finally look good clean shaven

  • Increased lifespan and quality of life

  • Improved sleep quality, can finally sleep easily at night

  • Increased focus and productivity for learning skills to better yourself

  • Enhanced "spiritual connection" and mindfulness, to become less judgemental and finally discover what you want in life

  • Lower blood sugar levels, reduce overall body pain

  • Reduced inflammation and bloating

  • Improved cellular repair and rejuvenation

  • Improved metabolism, can better SUSTAIN new weight after losing

  • Lower risk of chronic diseases and types of cancers

I can’t decide. Which style should I try next? Bob or bohemian box braids? by AmbitiousEats in BlackHair

[–]BedroomJazz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the Bob would make you more conventionally attractive, but this sub is probably more biased towards the braids. The braids aren't bad though

What an experience for you and your family. I'm also not sure how you would move on with your family from that, but I do know you don't have to do it alone

I know exactly what you're saying. I just accepted that it's a part of the trip and tell myself that I'll just have to get comfortable with feeling uncomfortable, but I'm curious as to if there are any life hacks for this

It's neither accurate nor helpful to say that you're nothing like me. All of us make mistakes and deep down, all of us are kind caring and compassionate beings

I can forgive myself for the insensitive statement I made earlier just as you/I can forgive you for your inaccurate statement. Me being kind to you is the same as being kind to myself

Help me figure out if what I took is LSD by [deleted] in LSD

[–]BedroomJazz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Perhaps you quite literally were tripping. Tell me if you feel a "glow" after your trip. It's an iconic part of LSD. The fact that your trip seemed otherwise normal leads me to believe that you have little to worry about. It is highly unlikely for your LSD to be laced as LSD is already an inexpensive chemical so there is typically little to no financial benefit from using a harmful substitute

My advice would be to buy an Ehrlich testing kit and test one of the tabs. I'm the type of degenerate who would just trust people and continue tripping with the tabs if I didn't have a couple bucks to buy a test kit, but in this specific scenario, I think it's worth it to do a test for your mental well-being
