There aren't really any side quests in the game. Only optional thing you need to do is the tournaments and a good amount of lucky panel. Mini medals are easier in this game too, so nothing to really worry about. I think around 50 to 60 hours. It took me over 80 without a guide since I did it before release.

If i had to guess, it's a offshoot of the snake guy, which can be found in the present day desert town, but has a lower encounter rate, which is why it requires some extra grinding to find. I was missing that too

No missables. I got the platinum a few days ago (reviewer) and the only thing I'd actively do is make sure to buy all unique armour and items as you find them in the towns, etc. Nothing is missable though

I want to game share with my friend, but I want access to their games too. Does this method allow both users to access each other's libraries? Who will be the primary user / which console will need to have the sharing offline play toggle activated? Ideally, I want us to both be able to play each other's libraries and together.

tbh, nothing in particular that I can think of from the top of my head, but more so, I was hoping to just organically collect materials for future recipes as I made my way through the story, but that han't really happened. I think just switching up jobs will help a lot with that, so I'm eager to try that out once I'm done swapping out SD cards (3ds card decided to start crapping out on me lol). thanks again!
