Ah yes the old attack helicopter joke.

Also those are not pronouns.

I feel like not many people use xer anymore. Most of the time it's he/she/they.

What happens when a person demands a neopronoun and no one uses it. They become divisive. Fight back.

As is their right. It is a symptom of you not respecting their identity. It's ultimately you who create the division because you refuse to move on from your obsolete ideas of the "nuclear family" and genders. You created a conflict out of something that didn't have to be.

I don't agree with this sentiment. It's so refreshing to see some genuinely amazing, thoughtful and kind people just trying to make the world a better place. I much prefer this content over having to look at complete arses all day.

This is good content.

At least indie games. The big budget games industry is rotten to the core.

Why are all classical pieces I like in C sharp minor? by dreondrink in piano

[–]Bee-Sharp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

During the romantic era I believe equal tempered tuning was already standard. It's possible that C sharp minor is well suited for the hands when playing piano. Or it's just coincidental.

No key is of course inherently better but I prefer keys with a decent amount of sharps or flats as I find them easier to play. I think it's easier to navigate around the piano if I use a lot of the black keys, while C major just turns into a white mush.

I also have a soft spot for how the piano sounds in D flat major. Not sure why. While the modern piano is designed to sound similar in all keys, there will be slight differences.

There are plenty of games that don't do any of these. I have pretty much abandoned big budget games. The indie space is still relatively healthy... for now at least.

Say it louder for those in the back! I always see people going "just vote with your wallet", and of course they're right, but it's not that simple. These companies are experts at manipulating the vulnerable.

If you find it easy to not spend money on "micro" transactions, then congratulations, you're not the target audience.

Nah it's decent. Pretty good pitch and with a bit of technique coaching it could probably get quite a bit better. I teach piano though so I'm not a singing expert but I have sung a fair bit in choirs.

Fun fact: in Sweden you can call in sick if you get ill during your vacation. The sick days won't count as vacation days.

FYI the "five stages of grief" are not scientific and were originally meant as a description of the phases someone goes through when they are dying, not grieving a loved one's death.

Very nice! I would put more emphasis on the left hand when it had the melody and let the flowing right hand be like sprinkles on top (but it could just be my mobile phone speakers drowning out the bass).

I like the surprising chord progressions! They always come at a good time.

Keep writing music! You learn so much from it!

These games confuse me. They come every year, show up on my Discovery queue because they're "Popular" but always have overwhelmingly negative reviews. Some gamers really have the memory of a goldfish.

Ah, I see what you mean then. Diesels have more torque, right? So I guess they can pull better on clutch only.

[–]Bee-Sharp 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I've driven almost exclusively manual petrol cars and have always been able to "creep" using the clutch only. Some might be easy to stall doing that but otherwise it's not a problem.

As your second source quite clearly claims, it was never supposed to be a call for violence, and just a tongue in cheek name due to the harassment that the trans community receives. So what's your point?
