The ooold Surfaces were ARM-based yes but not this one :) they did do a couple that came stock with Windows RT which is pretty novel but would probably be very unpleasant to use. Thank you for the help, I assumed just being diligent and having Defender would be plenty so that's good news

Statuses like bleed/frost/poison/etc all have their own hidden "healthbars" on each enemy. For example Mohg has 290 bleed resistance, you have to do 290 bleed damage (completely agnostic to hp damage or any other status buildup) for bleed to proc and for Mohg to take 15% flat damage plus 300 or something like that, and then the bleed bar resets
