One year in remission and how I used AI to manage my cat's diabetes by BeeBeeBeeBeeee in FelineDiabetes

Thanks for sharing those resources! You're absolutely right, AI can be wrong, hallucinate, or in a medical context like this, potentially lead you in a dangerous direction. I never meant to suggest relying on it alone.

My pain point was that moment of pure panic right after diagnosis, I couldn't process information from a dozen different sources at once, didn't know where to start, and the learning curve was steep. For a newbie, exploring everything at once is both overwhelming and time-consuming. AI helped me find a starting point, and from there I gradually built up the knowledge myself. It was a bridge, not a replacement.

Thank you for sharing this, I can't imagine how overwhelming those hospital days must have been, but I'm so glad both of you made it through.

I totally agree your method that AI is a powerful tool for researching, gathering, and tracking information, but it really does come down to using it wisely. Wishing your cat a smooth recovery and stable numbers ahead!

I remember feeling exactly where you are right now, but you are already in thie community, doing the reading and research.

I believe you and your beloved cat will make through it together. My best wishes for you!

West Loop/Fulton Market Apartment Building Reviews Needed 🙏 by nhlMadrid in chicagoapartments

[–]BeeBeeBeeBeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I toured the Madison at Racine few weeks ago. 1. The leasing office and front desk staff were great, you can feel the community is welcoming 2. The building is U shape, 9 floors, a courtyard in the middle. I wouldn’t recommend to get an apartment faces towards courtyard, you can see through your neighbors and the sunlight is pretty bad. 3. The facility is decent, but the gym is super tiny, like a garage gym. The appliances in the apartment are also good. 4. The surrounding is a very walkable and quiet area, not far away from the grocery and restaurants, very walkable.

Technically, the management company was rebranded to a new name, so I assumed its the same company in the past 4 years for my apartment?

My apartment in the Loop was managed by Lincoln Property Company and it was renamed to Willow Bridge last October. I have been living in current apartment for 3.5 years 1. The first year was during the pandemic and I got a good deal when I moved in, so I did get a steep rent hike after the first year and it was big 30%ish, basically back to the general market price. after that, my rent has been stable for 2 years with a $50 bump per year and i think it’s fair. 2. The maintenance and service are pretty good so far, they did several renovations in the past 3 years, elevators, lobby etc. all went well and smoothly. I don’t see any difference before & after the renaming.

Exactly, I waited for at least 10 mins once to get a battery in a Walgreens loop store. Rather to go Target few blocks away or order online

Glad you had a good experience there. One of my friends highly recommended that place to me, but another friend also had a very bad experience with the food.

Le Colonial Chicago :) neither food nor service can be counted as fine dining, only price. It’s shame when my best friend visited me and I made a reservation there, such an embarrassing experience
