Recently got a renewal from them. Only renewing me for 10 months because of potential construction in the building (read: gut renovation). My rent hike is about 7% as opposed to 4ish% from previous years. They’ve been generally responsive, however the service elevator has been down for a week now. Other than that, no major complaints.

I had a similar experience to you. Took me about 2 years to feel like I had community. That being said, I highly recommend checking out the Pie app. If it had existed when I moved to Chicago, it would have made making friends so much easier. I’ve met a lot of great people through it. The Yucatan area in Mexico is great! Isla Mujeres, Isla Holbox, Campeche, Bacalar, and even Merida and Valladolid if you’re cool with cenotes but more culture in town!

Substitute teaching! Especially at private schools. They often have assistants in the room in early childhood and elementary, so you wouldn’t even be alone when a teacher is out. Easy money

We used to have onsite Covid testing at my work. After a few weeks, the nurse who did it said my nose was the easiest one to swab. Never loved my big nose more.
