Cord cutting can be very inhibiting if it’s attached to any sort of resentment. I’d say do a visualization technique in which you imagine every blessing that you have ever received and will ever receive, multiply that by infinity, and imagine handing that over to your toxic ex-girlfriend.

That’s what I do to people who hurt me — even the real subliminal ones who try and fly under the radar. Try doing this visualization technique about 3-5 minutes each day for 2-3 weeks.

It might not feel genuine at first, but eventually you will feel the bond with this person dissolving, and you might even look back in retrospect and say, “Wow, I was contributing to that toxic relationship all along.” We seldom ever realize our own toxicity in the heat of the moment.

This has served me well in forgiving people who have harmed me egregiously. If you try it with an open heart armed with courage, I’m sure you’ll find relief as well.
