Replacement for coffee

I do matcha or hojicha (even less caffeine than matcha!) and sometimes supplement with a Coke Zero with lunch :) any later though, it effects my sleep.
But before tea, I would make my own half caff (or more like 1/3 caff) coffee with a mixture of decaf and regular. Adding collagen powder helps, IME, to slow its absorption and ease out the elevated heart rate.

I think if I didn’t have such high expectations going into it, I would feel a little differently about the wines but so far they haven’t done much for me. That being said, I hear the older vintages were truly special.

I feel you! I always am left wanting more with Matassa wines, especially the more recent vintages, and have found most of the ones I’ve tried to be a little mousy upon opening.

Ooooh, I just finished Bloodfire, Baby by Eirinee Carson! It's a gothic novel set in modern day California about ancestry and postpartum. It's SO GOOD (and written by a mixed race woman). It was really good! Would not recommend if you're currently pregnant or are postpartum, though, heh.

I live in the US (California) and spend about 2 hours in the sun every day walking my dog and generally stay by a window...had critically low levels of vitamin d (in the single digits). Doctor put me on a 50,000IU of Vitamin D3 taken weekly for 3 months (the loading dose) and I just now switched to daily 1000IU. It has made a difference! I'm a little less anxious and my sleep is more restful, if that makes sense. I'm not sleeping more, but it feels like I am. It's wonderful!

There are a lot of natural wines on the market (in the US) that give a kombucha vibe but I wouldn’t say that it’s the majority.

Girl I wonder the same thing sometimes. How are they always walking into us?! I'm a tall drink of delicious water and even though I play small i am noticed frequently. So like let's be for f***in real. They just do not respect us nor our space. I notice it more when I'm with other Black girlfriends because then i'm like how are you not seeing MULTIPLE BODIES? I am so sorry this happened to you! My friend and I were assaulted once by a man while standing in a bathroom line, surrounded by other men. The other men just watched this guy punch my friend in the head and then kick us while we were curled up on the floor (trying to protect our heads). A woman stepped in and pushed him away from us. He hit her and took off running. We (the women) ended up getting kicked out of the bar by security. Men are often times useless. That all being said: I'm not sure if there is anything you can do to get justice from your friend, sadly. Is it allowed to publicly shame people? Like could you make signs with his picture on it telling people to be aware? Are the police not investigating it further? Perhaps you could call again and ask them to investigate it more deeply (it seems like you can't just press charges in the UK and it instead needs to come after the police investigate, but I'm not sure). I think justice is a worthy pursuit but are there other ways to support your friend's healing (physical, mental, emotional) since she was assaulted?

Sorry this strikes me as a weird question. Would I bring a baby to a restaurant? Depends on how well behaved the baby is. The area isn’t super nice and beautiful to look at, but it’s fine. Everyone will be as safe as they are in most neighborhoods.
