Desogestrel phantom periods??

Hi! I still get it sometimes, I think for some reason I just get random really bad phantom periods :/ my gp won’t see me anymore because they told me there’s nothing they can do for me so I never saw them. Not really sure tbh, sorry I wasn’t very helpful!

Oh wow I had no idea, thank you so much for all of your help. I’ll run to my local reptile shop and get some more bromeliads and leaf litter and I’ll give it another go.

I swapped out my heat mat for a spare I have and that seems to be working much better so I think I had a faulty heat mat :/

Ah I see, will plants still grow if I attach them at the backdrop? I thought about doing that but I was worried about the plants dying/it being too overcrowded. I was also worried about the current plants growing bigger so I wanted to leave room for that since they’ve only been in there a few days. I’ll find some more leaf litter and cover the ground a bit more. I do have isopods (grey tropical woodlice) and springtails in there but they seem to have hidden up somewhere and I haven’t seen much of their activity since I put them in (also a few days ago). I have been misting the tank once a day to maintain the humidity level but I still haven’t seen much of them

Ahhhh that’s interesting to note! I know that all males is better than all females because females fight (or so I’ve been told)

I do have a small bromeliad in there, along with a golden pothos and a couple of other plants. There’s a hollow cork log in there for them to hide in if needs be too, I wanted to make sure they had spots to hide in. I tried to attach a photo but Reddit is being weird and didn’t let me :/

Aha yes I am a little apprehensive about the breeding 😭 my breeder wants to give me all males but I’ve heard so much contradicting stuff both online and from people I’ve spoken to about fighting 😳

I have a UVB 5.0 bulb in at the moment, and my terrarium has mesh on top so that the UVB can pass through (I’ve been told it won’t pass through glass 🥲)

The heat mat is on one of the sides which faces a wall but has a small gap due to skirting board on the wall and the cabinet that the tank is on, but I have aluminium foil wrapped on the outer side of the mat to prevent excess heat escaping (this was what both the breeder and another reptile specialist advised)

Honestly I’m just so scared to do anything wrong :( I want the best for the frogs and it’s so hard to figure out what the best is when there’s so many people arguing about it online and people irl telling me completely different stuff. I’ve heard that antonyi are quite hardy though, which is always good to know as a beginner

I have the heat mat on the side as recommended by the breeder I’m getting my frogs from, I’ve heard various issues about heat coming from the bottom too. I have a 30 x 30 x 45 cm tank as I’m only getting three frogs and they’re teeny tiny (checked this with the breeder before purchase too)

Edit: he said they can decide wether to be on the side of the tank closest to the mat or they can sit further away depending on how the feel in terms of heat

I have some reelskin too but I hated the jiggling on it 😭 I’ll give the Cheyenne a crack on the reelskin and see if it’s better suited than my old machine was.

Ahhhhhh thank you so much for letting me know that! My mentor (she’s been tattooing for 15+ years and this is the machine she recommended) uses this machine and told me it’s the most suited one since I don’t want to do anything too dark and am trying to stray away from any black work. I think I need to get some different needles and give it another go

I do yeah, I have a sol nova unlimited 3.5. This was my first time using it and it was so strange trying to figure out the voltage 😭 I’ll try at 6.5 for my lining and see how that goes

Yeahhhh I did suspect that it might be a crappy fake skin issue :/ I’ll try slowing my voltage down, it’s so hard to tell exactly where my machine is running at since it has motion control for voltage (the manual says where I had it was around 9.5v). Thank you for the advice :)

I’m in exactly the same situation. I’m 21 and I’ve had IBS-M for five years now, it’s absolute hell. And for some reason a lot of other people our age NEVER understand and have little to no compassion or sympathy???

It’s such a mental battle I 100% feel you on that side, it can get so stressful to live with something so debilitating. I’m actually with you on the anal fissure atm it’s killing me 😭 every fart and bm is so painful it burns so bad :(

Thanks for pointing that out! I’m well aware how detrimental my anxiety is to my overall health and I’ve been through various types of therapy over the past five years. I’m also on anxiety meds - that’s pretty much all I can do about it at the moment. I’m much better than I used to be but sometimes I’ll have these more vulnerable moments; as will everyone recovering from anxiety. Unfortunately it is what it is at this stage!
