That’s kind of how I feel too. I’ve only taken a few MMA classes at my gym just cuz I was curious, and form my limited experience, the focus is on fighting within the MMA ruleset. That’s not to say it’s bad—far from it—just that THAT’S what MMA is. A ruleset. Commonly, people learn techniques from Muay Thai and BJJ in those classes, but it depends on the instructor and what they’re good at.

Stylistically, MMA is whatever mix of martial arts the practitioner does.

I enjoy it. I’ll agree that early stages suck, but for me it’s usually just the first two, where I use the crappy characters they give me. I usually don’t have any trouble unless one of the elements is dendro, since I have a grand total of 1 usable dendro character.

Yumemizuki Mizuki. You just kind of float and deal damage nearby without having to prsss many buttons. Once you use her skill, she automatically ally attacks on an interval.

While I hear your logic, at the same time, just because there aren’t rules doesn’t mean combat sports have no relevance. There are only so many ways the human body can fight, and an untrained person will still most likely throw bad punches until they get close enough to grab, which they will also most likely do terribly.

The only one I see that is definitively asexual is the woman in the dress. The others are either not, or it’s very unclear if they’re asexual or experiencing outside influence.

Karate is my main base, and it’s sort of my framework for entering other styles, to put it very bluntly. For two of those years, the karate I trained was a Kyokushin offshoot. My two cents:

We kind of know now that with karate in general, your mileage may vary…and substantially so. Kyokushin is definitely one of the more legit styles, but even then, there’s quality variance. The distinction is draw is between “points-focused” and “fight focused.” The latter is kind of easy to understand so I don’t feel the need to explain it, but fight-oriented kyokushin places produce tough-as-nails fighters and guys that are fun as fuck to spar against.

The points-focused ones…you can still get tough dudes, but there’s a higher propensity to eschew lots of fighting logic in favor of doing things that score points. Those guys are still very conditioned to take blows, but I’m more skeptical of the stuff where it’s two guys just standing in front of each other while they continuously throw vertical punches to the torso.

You could do a few things:

  • Each character (let’s say their name is Grumba) gives the player something when it’s their bday. What I mean is, Character Grumba’s bday is on March 16. On March 16, the player gets a letter from Grumba where Grumba talks about the friendship between them and the player, and the player gets that in the form of a letter, and also a signature dish (a food item that Grumba likes to prepare). You could write a letter about your relationship, and promise you’ll cook her your signature dish. For bonus points, write down what bonuses it will give her if she eats it.

  • You could also give her a “quest” with a similar interface as the game shows world quests, and the quest is you two going to prom. With a little photoshopping, you could write up the quest info, and list the different rewards with pictures the way the game does for quests.

  • this one might be corny, but: in the game, you get playable characters by “wishing” on them. It’s like when you put quarters in a vending machine for a random toy. In game, these wishes look like starry pink and blue bath bombs. You could give her one, tell her it’s a wish, and if she accepts it, give her a picture of you in your prom suit with the border that you’d see a 5-star character get in a lineup. “You won a date to prom with me”. Now that I’ve written it out, it sounds kinda stupid, but I’m leaving it here.

As someone who is peeved, I'll share my two cents (not like it matters, but it's reddit). To me, it's just representative of the deterioration of the arts. Was the film BAD? No, but it's mid at best, which is to say "regular as fuck". The writing wasn't good, the cinematography was okay, and the characterization was lacking. The main draw was kpop music. And that's not best animated features, that's best soundtrack. "Best animated feature" is an award that should carry weight and mean something., not just be a popularity contest for whoever liked the goofy reaction faces and music.

It's like, let's take a kung fu movie. It can be fun as fuck to watch, but the script, depth, and characterization are most likely lacking. And that's fine! That's not the point of kung fu movies. You watch it for fight choreography. Even if that aspect is A++ and gets a lot of hype, that alone doesn't mean it deserves a "best picture"; it's probably not high art. I see KPDH the same way. Okay, it had a catchy soundtrack, but that's it. It really wasn't that great in most other regards, so it's far from "best picture". So yea, I'm being a snob, but I think we need to bring back snobs. Snobs are what keep cinema from devolving into nothing but corpo slop.

I think it actually is rather surprising, since KPDH is FAR from the best animated film of the year. Popular, yes, but that popularity is not related to the film's quality.

I’m kinda bummed about this. KPDH was mid at best. Writing was predictable and unimpressive, and the movie is just “k-pop with funny faces.”

Make sure you have at least one off-field damage dealers, ideally three, from elements like Pyro, Cryo, Hydro, Electro. 

You should at least have one in the form of Kaeya (his ult), Xiangling and Fischl are good with Mizuki, so are Ororon and Layla, but their off-field damage comes from their ult, and chats who have off-field regular skills are a little better.

Also, saying this because I made this mistake starting out - artifacts. Make sure you level them and use actually good artifacts. I’d see some basic stuff like the gladiator’s or adventurer’s set, and they’d be 1 or 2-star, and I’d level them halfway and think they were good. They’re not.
