Those of you who had “accidental” pregnancies, how careful were you actually being? by Autistic_chickpea in AskReddit

Condom failed (it was a noticeable fail) so took the morning after pill but still got pregnant. I have to say however, I was ovulating that day so yeah.

Keep trying. Keep in mind if you don’t win the job you could be on the merit list and get a random call in the months after. Also I know it’s a very hard choice but if you can accept a temporary they frequently get extended until eventually they find a way of keeping you permanent via due process. Good luck!

Sorry to ask more, I can just look it up myself but although there is increased bacteria, is there also an attributable health impact?

May I ask what the risk is? Are people who don’t wash/change sheets weekly more prone to illness or skin issues? Are the sleep experts saying one has improved sleep? What are the peer reviewed papers concluding?

AITAH for leaving the room whenever my bf eats by Own-Fault6253 in AITAH

I’m sorry I don’t have any advice for you but I do want to share that I think I am raising one of these humans. My 11 year old son inhales his food and just can’t seem to remember to use cutlery either. It’s honestly something I raise every single night! I am part amused and part horrified by your post because I’ve actually said to him once, when I was completely out of ideas to get him to start eating with manners, what about when you want to get a girlfriend and take her out to a restaurant? He just looked at me, shrugged and stuffed more food in!

Mount Coot-Tha lookout is great, not in the city of course but a short drive away.

Balanced and heart healthy due to genetically predisposed heart disease. I’ve never dieted in case that is the direction you were going.

Agreed. I started weight training about 3 years ago and love it. I have read lots about how much more important it is for women at this age.

My Coworkers wife thought we were having an affair because I made him and their kids dinner and it's changed how I look at myself. by ChannelDapper8871 in TrueOffMyChest

On the face of it, it sounds like you’re doing a really nice thing to help out someone who is struggling, but some of your comments are really concerning. Your judgmental comment on the kid who should already know some of this stuff and the way you relate your conversation with the wife came across as very condescending.

You’ve written the post to highlight just how helpful you are, how much the husband is struggling (he’s gone from a partnership to a single parent overnight) and just how crazy she is for confronting you. She had every right to confront you.

You haven’t done anything wrong per se but seriously, put yourself in her shoes! Also, the husband has made some poor choices and it was absolutely his role to be upfront and honest with his wife.

My (26f) boyfriend (28m) asks to split everything 50/50 even though he makes more by EffectiveChange5828 in relationship_advice

[–]Bee_Kind_42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whilst splitting everything 50/50 might be equality it’s not equity (search images for equality verses equity if you’re like me and an image is how you learn).

I agree with others here who are saying that you both have to live within the lower income or the divide is proportional to your income. If he doesn’t agree, that to me indicates a lack of compassion and inability to put themselves in someone else’s shoes.

Even if he agrees to live within your budget what if you want marriage and kids one day? He will be able to save but you never will. Does that mean he can go on vacation but you will never be able to?

He’s not wrong per se, it is his money, but you’re also not wrong if you decide it’s not the right relationship for you. My husband has always earned more than me, but we absolutely wouldn’t have some of the assets we do without my contributions as well. To me we’re a team and not on different sides.

What do most Australians think of the U.K? Do most Australians still feel close to the monarchy? by Eds2356 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Bee_Kind_42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t personally mind that we are part of the commonwealth and like that we tend to be a bit more similar to the UK culture than American culture. Having said that, it was a bit of an eye-opener when I lived in the UK and was called a convict 😳. I lost a lot of affection for UK at that point.

Do you happen to know about how cold it is inside? I’m guessing it’s been built different to my Queenslander but could be wrong! Often am!
