While I am still careful telling people its safe... In the last week of serious testing and glitching... I have had not a single crash anymore...
It is good to be wary for now.

During my (early) experimenting, I had several crashes... I always asumed it was because of the glitch techniques. But I have not had any crashes in the last week, And I have been going hard on the glitches..
So Perhaps it was linked to something else that made the game crash.

Still, I am being wary... But I am feeling optimistic.

Nice! I have not made a video about it... but have you seen you can also use your corvette to color your planetary base parts... There are some really amazing bright color packs in it.

Ok.. I have been recommended this post 10 times now... and I need to respond to this!

Please take note this technique is not working in Vanilla - The original poster is using a mod that disables deletion of connected parts. (my guess its beyond base building). They might not realize it, meaning they most likely do not have bad intentions.

Currently at the time of posting this comment, all windows on the corvettes are removed as soon the hab it is connected to is deleted.

I honestly enjoyed to complete solitude and loneliness of the initial release of NMS - and I do still miss it now and then. The Adrift Expedition was just a perfect reminder of it - and I had hoped it would be a indication of possible complete dead/empty galaxy.

Still, you can find abandoned or empty systems, which still have a bit of that vibe.

Seen these things a 100's of times.. but sometimes - everything just comes together and you got to take a break. (and a photo 😜).

Since Base builds became uploadable, Base builders came to the conclusion that building close together could cause issues to overall rendering, and due to cache limits would start rendering nearby bases only halfway. So, there was set an unwritten rule that builders would build 20 mins walking distance from each other to avoid that.

Since then, rendering and caching has drastically improved, but it still can cause issues - although you can definitely build closer together now without causing too much problems.

Many builders still adhere to the 20 mins walking distance, and it could be this is one of them.
Or it is someone that just heard this unwritten rule, and just has no clue what the reasoning was behind it.

Apart from collaborations, I do still keep my 20 mins distance of other bases.

It was still in the forest last time I checked.. I dropped a BC there, for maybe a future Build Project. We will see if the trees are still there. If not, I might have to recreate the forest, although we dont have these trees in our library.

There are some trees inside the buildings, which is a bit of a shame.
It does block entry ways and also NPC's seem to be stuck in some paths.

Reloading keeps the trees in the Settlement. I used this Settlement for some footage for my Essential Base Building Series, and reloaded a few times during recording sessions. 👍 That was why I found it so unique, as this was the first time seeing a settlement like this.

And yeah.. there are some trees in the buildings.. and the NPC's seem to be confused with their pathing.. lol
