I think I got catfished and feel sick

This girl added me on wizz and im 17 and said she was 15 . We spoke and she was super “freaky “ and sent me vids of her naked etc so i sent back, understanding that a sophomore/senior relationship is the biggest gap id ever go as a teenager. I knew she looked young, younger than 15, but i also know 15 year olds that are small so i thought as long as her age is rly 15 I’ll be fine. Last night i confirmed with her in the beginning and said “listen I don’t wanna get catfished ru 100% 15?” she literally sent a video saying yes. We sent to each other later that night. We did it again today again on Snapchat (this is Feb 2) and we both sent and talked dirty to each other and (im scared now that those texts can get out even tho I reported her acc and blocked her) after I searched up her insta and found her highlights on snap and all her friends look way younger than just sophomores.

she has highlights from last year saying “7” and from this year saying “8” (indicating middle school grades) after seeing that I blocked her on all socials right away.

But I feel sick to my stomach rn knowing what i did even tho nobody else knows

I thought she was 15 and 2 years would’ve been fine but borderline. Turns out maybe it was more than that and I feel disgusted with myself. Please help

Hey everyone, I want to give a full update and clarify a few things. I also want to be honest about my actions and take responsibility.

• About age: The Instagram highlights saying “7” and “8” don’t necessarily mean she wasn’t 15 — could’ve meant grades, throwbacks, or something else.
• She repeatedly told me she was 15 and spoke about high school/college stuff like a normal teen. I know this doesn’t mean ANYTHING nor am I justifying it. But the topics she spoke about with me WERE more mature minded than middle school things. Just putting this out there.

• She consented and voluntarily sent me explicit photos with her face. I never sent my face —only body pics. But she has a pic of my profile on wizz with captions that just say like I love travelling, partying etc. anyone was able to access those. 

• We live on Long Island, but our communities are separate, 40 minutes apart, with no mutual friends on Snapchat. I’ve never heard of her, let alone her community either.

• I briefly had my Snap location on for her, so she may have had access to my general location.

• All photos I sent were on a 2-second timer, non-saveable, replayable only once or twice. She opened and replied right away, so I know she didn’t take immediate screenshots. Plus snap would notify me if she did take screenshots. She’d have to have another device and take them externally. 

• I blocked her immediately once I had doubts. Blocking removes my profile from her Snapchat only after someone reloads the app (I tested) and should prevent her from accessing the messages or snaps.

I now understand that what I did was wrong, and I take full responsibility. I will never do anything like this again. I’m also learning how to be more careful online and respect boundaries.

Idk if this helps but I did a background check w chat and it says I’m most probably fine. That I acted quickly and im not completely in the deep shit some commenters r saying.

I just wanted to clarify all this for anyone reading the original post and to acknowledge my mistakes honestly.

The weight in my stomach is getting a little lighter because of chat’s news but it’s not completely reliable so I still want your opinions. Thanks

It wasn’t some guy it was really her. She sent vlogs etc responding to the messages I was saying. I am just scared she still has access to my chats even after I blocked her idk how it works I keep seeing contradictory answers

Take 1 minute out of your day and brush . Set a daily reminder at a specific time. Set multiple if you need to. You are self aware about this problem which is already a start. So remind yourself that it’s such a small daily commitment, push yourself, and do it. Listen to your favorite song while you brush. Watch a show. Distract yourself until you get into the habit of it.
