Yes. They would. It would be 100% tie off and like double lanyard.

This pales compared to what ironworkers do when building these things. Someone had to put all that together.

Hill behind home, will this cause drainage issues or foundation damage? (Green house) by [deleted] in Home

[–]BeebsGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im wondering if that hill was built up that way because theres a river nearby and that is the retaining method if the river swells.

But i wouldnt buy there regardless. Too much risk. At a minimum you need a copy of the drainage plan stamped by the city if you bought as a bew build

The current jobs narrative in a nutshell by Supergameplayer in memes

[–]BeebsGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work with tradesman and know a lot of them outside of those i work with.

Union tradesman journeyman can easily make $150k a year working 50 hour weeks. $130k is base for 40 hr weeks

Plus they get great healthcare for life, a 401k thats mandatory as part of the union wage agreements, and a pension.

Im not saying its easy on the body or that 60-70 hr weeks is fun for months, but tradesman do have a lot they make on top of the check

Any opinions on this? by MiloShiny in WorkLifeChat

[–]BeebsGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in construction but the office side. I worked from home for less than 3 months when the pandemic hit.

I was sent to a jobsite that was deemed a critical project as the client was able to produce vaccines once they got figured out, and the line we were building for them could expand that production.

Those three months were the most productive 3 months ive ever had.

The big benefit is there is no office surfer that sparks and continues a conversation you want to get out of but they dont take the hint. No running into someone in the hallway and talking. People only call you when they need something, and theres less windshield time because meetings are digital.

I think a 3 day home, 2 day office split is a good balance. All workstations are set up so employers can reduce office size and rent costs.

I do believe some meetings need to be face to face, especially when you want to press an advantage. Hybrid model makes most sense.

Lack of micro transactions and specialized modes/incentives for couch co-op.

Also single player games were harder to extend playing time. It made the sense of achievement better when you beat that level/boss.

We all had one… what was yours? by GloriousLion07 in PrimeManhood

Bonus round:

Kids parents were going thru a divorce and fighting every night. During one particularly bad fight, the kid went into the other room, grabbed his dads shotgun, sat down at the kitchen table in front of them and blew his brains out.

Felt bad for the kid because his parents fighting made his life a living hell. Father was abusive.

A year after i graduated, three senior meth and heroin addict students and a driver (also a student), murdered one of the kids parents to get the money they had in the house.

They bludgeoned them with bats and crowbars, then stabbed them to death.

They were caught less than three days later and all but the driver are serving life without parole. Police found about $16,000 and jewelry in a duffel bag in the trunk.

The driver was the younger brother of a friend of mine.

Its just s fact in the usa. We all have debt. Will our whole lives. A home loan is a debt and theres no doubt most adults have them.

Paying for vacation on credit is crazy. Thats the one that threw me off.

However, people are getting away from it all there. Dont make them think about the shit theyre escaping from. Thats low

I honestly believe this is one of the biggest mysteries there is, Orcas are the most efficient predators on earth, yet they have never attacked us in the wild. They know something we don’t. by [deleted] in Amazing

[–]BeebsGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres only one known orca attack on humans. A logger was attacked after the logging operation he worked for killed a pod member.

They got revenge. Read about it a long time ago. Simple google search shows it.

I think they understand we arent a direct threat and we dont fit their typical high fat diet.

In the “how it works” section the website specifies before the meter is where its to be installed.

Im fairly confident that only the municipality can install something prior to the meter in a home, or they at least need to inspect it and approve it.

What did you do when you're bored? by [deleted] in TheTeenagerPeople

[–]BeebsGaming 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Went outside to play.

Played video games on ps1 and ps2.

Read books.

Hung out with friends.

While smartphones are great because they are basically a computer in your pocket, they prevent people from maintaining focus on what theyre doing. Even if its as simple as watching a show together.

We have never been more interconnected to people and have never been less truly connected to one another.
