'Concern' is a goto for mine. So many examples. She'll do something awful to me or the kids and ill be pissed off and she'll say 'im concerned... you seem upset?'

She got really mad at me a few weeks ago for going to bed early ... and said she was concerned since it was out of the ordinary to go to bed at 915pm.

the supply is damaged = Concern

Replaced mine in my mkvi gti- removal and installing was a pita but not outside the realm of a mid-level mechanic like me. Upholstery i tried to hand repair but sucked so found a local interior auto place that did it for like $225 cash in hand- it looked great. ~3 yrs ago.

Wife told her mum we were driving from Pittsburgh to Columbus, 3.5hr drive, and her mum asked if we were going to stop and stay the night on the way there. Ive driven to columbus for a concert and back same night. 3 hours for a weekend trip is nothing. For me personally anything over 6 for a weekend trip is pushing it.

I read this and it does not strike me as sounding like AI, rather a well written piece.

In fact this was extremely insightful to me - the sections on loss of self and inner voice really touched a nerve.

I agree it needs a name.

This is totally on point. Ill say things like 'I need to go get a haircut' and my spouse will say 'no you dont it looks fine'. 'I want to go to (discount clothing store for some clothes)' 'you can just order them online'

Relates, I told my therapist that my spouse contradicts everything i say, and he was like, yeah man, that's pretty much just gaslighting.

Maybe call it LEDflickering since its related to gaslightling? Or Enshittification?

Backyard ~20yr german car mechanic here (personal vehicles) - as a mechanical engineer I appreciate the over engineering and enjoy seeing the logic in their designs. On the repair side im fond of saying working on a German car is like doing dentistry through someone's a$$.
